Aaron Bushnell claimed he had secret knowledge of US troops fighting in Hamas tunnels under Gaza — just hours before setting himself on fire in an “extreme act of protest” against Israel, a close pal told The Post on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old airman — who served in the Air Force’s 70th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, but also interacted with radical anarchist groups online — ranted that he had “top-secret clearance’’ for military intelligence data in the call to his friend Saturday night, he said.

It would surprise me if we didn’t. I’d expect special forces to be helping to rescue hostages
He may have had ‘Top Secret’ clearance. Unknown. But does just “ha b ing” it, then allow you to poke around in your spare time and read everything the military has on file that is marked ‘Top Secret’ or are there need to know and relativity to your job limits?

But hey, no worries, the US Military has seen sharp increase in both professionalism, and patriotism, since 2010, right?

I agree. Heck, one can go to college, get indoctrinated in a much more comfortable setting, and have the taxpayers pay for your experience.

One factor left out of the story...before 2019...he was in a cult group (growing up). He enlisted in 2020. For the clearance...it seems the cult thing never came up. Prior to the 1990s...it would have been a red-flag.
Isn’t this the pinhead that dumped fossil fuel on his head and set his ass on fire causing gross pollution in the clear, clean District of Corruption air?
The FBI questioned everyone I knew back to kindergarten for my clearance. I took over 6 months.
