Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,

Howdy to you PROCON!
Hi MA!
*HUGS*
Hope your day has been a good one!
Howdy, lauren! *HUGZ*
It’s a very-much-do-nothing evening here. LOL I can’t move after busting butt at the military museum today.
Did you have another busy weekend?
Howdy, PRO.
How was your weekend? Did you head over for entertainment by those silly pups? :-)
Thanks, unique, for the road trippers!

I see you’ve had more snow today. At least it’s been light snow and it isn’t accumulating more than a dusting.
Good luck this week!
How wuz your weekend? When does your museum open?
Rest is good, get plenty!
Bless you for your work at the Museum, that’s so awesome.
Nice relaxing weekend here, thank goodness. Except I dumped all my socks from my sock drawers onto the closet floor, now I gotta go clean it all up, and that’s no joke!
Two drawers full of socks is way too much.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
Good evening, lauren...steady all day, but it continues.
Overcast most all day, mid 20s, and the radio said posible snow showers this evening.
Sounds like a pretty good weekend you had. Are you and your son still “saving the world” every now and then? :-)
It was a good weekend here. Busted butt at the museum Saturday, did nothing yesterday because I couldn’t move - LOL - and busted butt again today. I hope I can move enough tomorrow to head to the poll to vote. Then I’ll do nothing for the rest of the day. :-)
From what I heard today, it looks like the museum will reopen the 3rd weekend next month.
Two drawers full of socks??? Yep, that’s a wee bit overboard. LOL!! Pick out the pairs you like the most and take the rest to a thrift store. That’s what I do when t’s time to clean out a drawer or the closet.
I LOVE being a part of the museum. They decided to rearrange everything and that’s what we’re working on now. And they made a dusty mess when they filled in the mechanics pit with concrete and that’s what I’ve been cleaning up. Everything in the building was coated in dust but it isn’t now. And the ol’ bum back is cranky from all the bending and reaching.
But it was fun simply because it was so good to be back there after a long, boring winter.
It’s Super Tuesday tomorrow and we’re part of it. So it’ll definitely be a terrific day. :-)
Bible in a Year :
The Lord said, . . . I have given you victory over them!
In March 1945, the “Ghost Army” helped US forces achieve the Rhine River crossing—giving the allies a vital base to operate from on World War II’s Western Front. The soldiers were most definitely human, not apparitions, all part of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops. On this occasion, the 1,100-man team imitated 30,000 men by using inflatable decoy tanks, blasting troop and vehicle sound effects over speakers, and more. The relatively small number of Ghost Army members led the enemy to fear what appeared to be a far greater force.
The Midianites and their allies also trembled before a tiny army that loomed large in the night (Judges 7:8–22). Gideon, a judge and military leader of Israel, was used by God to make his puny army a source of terror for the enemy. They also used sound effects (blown trumpets, smashed clay jars, human voices) and visible objects (blazing torches) to make the vast enemy—as “thick as locusts” (v. 12)—believe they were facing a colossal foe. Israel defeated their enemy that night with an army whittled down from 32,000 men to just 300 by God’s command (vv. 2–8). Why? Because that made it clear who truly won the battle. As God told Gideon, “I have given you victory over them!” (v. 9 nlt).
When we feel weak and inferior, let’s seek God and rest in His strength alone. For His “power is made perfect in [our] weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). .
Reflect & Pray
What big foes or challenges are you facing? How can you rest in God’s power as you confront them?
Dear Jesus, let me find Your strength in my weakness.
Howdy, luvie.
Did you have all your windows and doors open today? You had perfect temps for it.
Not quite as warm here but it did break 70, though it only made it to 68 up on the mountain.
Hey there, radu!
Yes, when I got up, hubby already had the doors open! It was just a perfect day. Warm...not hot...and NO wind. Well, maybe a tiny breeze.
I have a sad heart, though. Sunday morning, I discovered a black cat lying in the middle of the back yard. I thought it was one of mine just chilling, but he never moved when I called. When I walked out there, I discovered that the kitty was not alive. My heart sank. I checked closer, and it didn’t have a notched ear, though, so we figured out that it was sweet Pirate. I have NO idea what happened to him. He just looked asleep. No injuries, etc., and he seemed healthy. I am wondering now if that was why there were no cats that came for dinner the night before. [was it the night before...Saturday? I can’t remember] They have all been skittish ever since then.
Also, Tux was back tonight after a 2-week absense. Of all the kitties I thought would pass, I’d have guessed him. He just always looks so rough.
