Haley exit crushes moderate GOP climate hopes
E&E News by Politico ^ | 3/6/24 | Timothy Cama

Nikki Haley’s departure from the Republican presidential race removes the last possibility of moderation on environmental and climate change policy in top GOP leadership.

Haley’s concession Wednesday, after only getting a handful of delegates in the primary contests, cements former President Donald Trump’s place as the party’s undisputed leader and presumptive presidential nominee against President Joe Biden.

While Haley made energy and climate promises that were not very different from Trump, she earned accolades from conservative environmental organizations that wanted to back a Republican candidate who took the issues more seriously than Trump.

Nikki McRomBush was a liberal Republican who tried to fool the electorate and failed.

Her type is done.

Anyone supporting climate change initiatives in any form is lunatic that should be institutionalized.

We’ve become a world of idiots where they make shxt up and then support it and demand others do the same... From man made climate change to gender fluidity... complete insanity.

“While Haley made energy and climate promises that were not very different from Trump, she earned accolades from conservative environmental organizations that wanted to back a Republican candidate who took the issues more seriously than Trump.”

In other words, she gave Never Trumpers some hope with the Climate Hoax.

What are these “conservative environmental organizations”?

They sound like lobbyists trying to get their cut of the pork doled out by Congress in the form of grants or government contracts....more sludge in the swamp.

One basic leftist trick is to steal the language—change the meaning of words to bamboozle the masses.

It looks like they are trying to hijack the word “conservative” to make it mean just another leftist.

Who are we then?

Right wing extremists of course.

Lol.

Any “Republican” who endorses or supports the “green energy” scam or falls in line with the “climate change” hoax deserves what they get...

E&E is Politico, and to "read" -- one supposes -- who those "conservative environmental organizations" are requires paying at the Politico tollbooth.

My definition of the word, conservative, does not include any notion of paying governmental and NGO entities anything to "fight" climate change, which is a political model. Not science. But "sciency" so long as the grants keep flowing.

But the media has trotted out Obama as a "conservative," so I'd say the word itself is under attack by the word gamers for whom deconstructing language is a political tool.

Barack Obama, conservative Washington Post, 22 November 2019.

Their game is moving the Overton Window so “acceptable speech” is extreme left, mainstream left and squishy left.

Then squishy left becomes “conservative”.

Example: The debate becomes whether to require tampons in all the school boys rooms or just some of them.

“No—none of them” becomes a “right wing extremist” position advocated by those “crazy conspiracy theorists” who think perverts are trying to groom kids.

--- "Their game is moving the Overton Window so 'acceptable speech” is extreme left, mainstream left and squishy left'."

Kudos. Well observed.

This has generated a "uni-party" wherein "partisan" means politicians separated by name but not by actual policy.

With the public debt exploding, the uni-party and its swamp corruption must keep "dazzling with BS" to throw ordinary Joes off the trail of who has been responsible for the crumbling base of American industry, American freedom and American optimism. The Overton window's degree of difference between RINOs and Democrats is so "clamped down," that even opening that window a few notches makes them shriek!

Throw open the Overton window. Let fools make fools of them selves, in order that the truly wise may also be heard rather than silenced. After all, freedom....
