I think they messed up here. They should have had at least 1 plaintiff that was born after 2000 that wanted to buy cigarettes but was unable to. Not sure the merchants have a discrimination claim but a potential customer would.
That means 24 year-olds can’t buy it.

They can always come to NH and buy their cigarettes and alcohol all at the same time. Go to the outlet some day and just look at the license plates. It’d be hard to find one from NH.

This Massachusetts town is going to lose a lot of sales tax revenue to surround a communities. I seen this in dry counties in the south east, it just doesn’t work. What you get is bars on the county border and a lot more people getting DUI’s.
Futile gesture. The kids will go to the next town to buy smokes if they can afford them. High taxes are a better deterrent. A black market is the side effect.
