Back on February 8, GOP Congressional Candidate and J6 defendant Derrick Evans released exclusive footage of a January 6 protester firing off a gun from the scaffolding that day. Evans posted the video at J6Footage.org.
The Gateway Pundit then reposted the video at our website with permission (The video had only 124 views when we first posted the clip.)

On Friday, exactly one month after video was released of the J6 protester firing off his gun on the scaffolding, the DOJ announced that they arrested the man — over three years after the January 6th!
That raises several red flags.

People who laugh off The Gateway Pundit as if it’s nothing but “fake news” (Wikipedia’s description) need to understand all the news they break, and all the good they do for decent Americans. This is just one example.

Gateway pundit has some excellent reporters and investigative reports. What they do that is bothersome is overpromise in some headlines.

The FBI was indeed looking for Banuelos. Five months earlier, it had uploaded pictures of him to its “most wanted” page of suspected participants in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Soon after the FBI uploaded Banuelos’s picture, internet sleuths identified him and sent his name to the agency. He wasn’t charged in the stabbing. And two years later, he hasn’t been charged in the Capitol riot, despite the publication of his name or his appearance on the FBI’s “most wanted” page, which describes him as a suspect in an assault on a member of the media.
