2) Lauren Boebert has announced to run in the primary for this district, which is safe GOP.
3) A special election can be held, but the primary for that seat is in June.
4) This will likely result in a move towards MAGA for this seat — even with some redistricting.

I expect this to happen. All by design.
Whoever is named as the replacement would end up as the favorite. But if Lauren Boebert is a skilled politican, she can use this event and work it so she'll gain advantage from it. It's easy to point out the corruption in D.C. So that's the angle I would use.
Otherwise, people are tired of Boebert because her personal life is messy. But I don't care. She's solid and in the Freedom Caucus.
