Kevin McCarthy predicts Republicans won’t oust their speaker again: ‘Very best job he can’

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy predicted Sunday that House Republicans won’t attempt to dethrone his replacement during this session of Congress.

Last Friday, firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) dangled a motion to depose Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Friday, but framed that resolution as a warning.

“Speaker Johnson is doing the very best job he can. It’s a difficult situation,” McCarthy (R-Calif.) told CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “I do not think they could do it again.”

The Speaker isn’t going anywhere. Unfortunately though, the republicans are close to losing their majority, thanks to idiots lake Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Of course CBS put that cuck on the air. He is right though, with the tiny majority they have Johnson will stay speaker.

Wrong. It’s because of lying backstabbing that work with liberals to pass BS budget bills full of Dem pork.

********************************************************

Actually if the Republicans lose their majority it’s because of Fifth Columnists such as Mike Gallagher and Kevin McCarthy who are complicit with DemocRATS. Sorry you can’t see that.

(the republicans are close to losing their majority, thanks to idiots lake Marjorie Taylor Greene.)

How is Marjorie Taylor Greene causing all these House Representatives to step down leaving the majority in peril? Be specific!

There is this conspiracy talk that the RINOs have a plan to purposely leave in order to give the House back to the Dems. What if it's just their frustration with members like MTG?

The last attempt to get a better leader doesn't seemed to have worked. Another attempt may cause the Dems to regain the majority. This seems to be a case of the perfect being the enemy if the good... or at least mediocre.

McCarthy could still be in his seat in the House helping maintain a Majority, but NO! he’s leading the turnover of the
house to the ‘Rats.

PRyno is his butt-bud in implementing this plan.

MTG is just calling him and the somehow compromised Johnson out.

Republicans may have had a majority, but conservatives never did. MTG seems to have been completely unaware of this and is acting as if she has the votes to put in place a conservative leader.

20/20 hindsight suggests McCarthy should still be leader and conservatives trading overall reductions in budgets and liberal nonsense in exchange for massive increases in pork barrel spending in RINO districts.

Congress is not a debating society. Politics is dirty business.

Kevin the cuck said yesterday that the GOP lost their majority when they removed him. I think he said more than he meant to. I think he was admitting he and some other rat collaborators cooked up a plan to hand the House back to the rats in time to affect the elections. That back stabbing traitor Gallagher timed his departure exactly past the special election deadline, obviously part of the plan.

..... or maybe she is giving “Repubs” a forced vote to decide to SIDE and SUPPORT the commieDems or vote for Repub values! Kind of tough to say you are conservative and vote for the rubbish $$1.2BB, which was NOT good or even OK but a complete betrayal of taxpayers.... Shut it down and publicize the trash spending the RINOs are voting FOR! .... ymmv

"Unfortunately though, the republicans are close to losing their majority"

You can't blame Marjorie Taylor Greene for this. Congressional Republicans have been their own worst enemy for many years, long before she got there. RATS will likely steal the White House again, and the House. They already have enough votes in the Senate because of all the Rinos there. Once RATS get the White House, and Congress again, they will introduce and pass massive immigration reforms, including fast-track citizenship for every illegal in this country, so RATS will be permanently in control of the government, and that will be the end of this country as we know it. The GOP died on January 6, 2021, when they went along with the steal. They just haven't figured it out yet.

“The Republicans” won’t remove the Speaker. But how many votes can we lose now — one or two? All it takes is a couple of idiots voting with the Democrats to do the job. Virtually all of “the Republicans” will stand firm, but a couple of idiots who are willing to make Hakeem Jeffries the next Speaker, thinking that this will make them look important, are all it takes.

The libertarians have practiced fratricide for decades. There are some clowns in the Republican caucus with the same ego problem.

If they had a larger Republican majority and bought off the RINOs, the budget they voted on might have been much better. This of course is just speculation, but we now know what the result of holding Republicans to their supposed principles resulted in, i.e. a Democrat budget.

Politics is dirty business.

That's for sure, but MTG knows this, and is doing exactly what we should expect the conservative members of the Republican caucus to be doing, which is pushing leadership to do the right thing.

The Ukraine funding bill was a red line for a lot of the base, and she's right to fight leadership, even if it looks impractical from the outside.

She's not a lawyer, and sometimes gives the enemedia opportunities to twist her words, but she's not wrong here.

We need leaders, not lawyers.
