As well, we should invest less (none at all!) to encourage illegal immigration.

I saw more guns when I was in Guatemala than anywhere else I've traveled.
Every little shop, every bodega has an armed guard with an old ugly shotgun guarding the entry. After a couple days I felt pretty secure being surrounded by armed men.
One night I had dinner in a very upscale Peruvian restaurant. Wonderful ceviche, great service. The waiter who brought me the dessert menu was the same guy who was working the entrance. He had a big, long cattle prod on his belt.

Guatemala's new president, Bernardo Arévalo, hasn't done his homework. The United States, by its corporations, have launched a number of investments in a number of countries. In some cases, those investments were "nationalized" by the countries where the ventures were located. That tells our corporations, "don't invest out-of-country, because it will be confiscated."
The United States provides lots of money to China in foreign trade, yet we are seeing illegal "visitors" from that country.
Tried that, didn't work.

But we would still have the monumental task of rounding up the 14 millions rat migrant guests of Joe and Kamalho.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
"Nearly three years ago, Vice President Kamala Harris stood alongside the then-president of Guatemala in his palace and delivered a message to would-be migrants:
"Do not come" to the United States."
