Russia links concert shooting to 'Ukrainian nationalists'; US says 'nonsense'
Reuters via Yahoo ^ | March 28th, 2024 | Unattributed

MOSCOW/WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Russian investigators said on Thursday they had found proof that gunmen who killed more than 140 people at a concert last week were linked to "Ukrainian nationalists", an assertion immediately dismissed by the United States as baseless propaganda.

Russia has said from the outset that it believes Ukraine was linked to the attack, even though Kyiv has denied it and the militant group Islamic State has claimed responsibility.

In a statement, Russia's Investigative Committee said for the first time that it had uncovered proof of a Ukrainian connection. While it described the nature of the alleged evidence, it did not publish it.

"As a result of working with detained terrorists, studying the technical devices seized from them, and analysing information about financial transactions, evidence was obtained of their connection with Ukrainian nationalists," it said.

It said there was "confirmed data" that the attackers had received significant amounts of cash and cryptocurrency from Ukraine. Another suspect involved in "the terrorists' financing scheme" had been detained, the committee said.

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby described the Russian allegations as "nonsense and propaganda" and said Islamic State was solely responsible for the attack.

The problem here is the US Government is no more credible than the Kremlin.

And it's their own damn fault.

"US says 'nonsense'"

That's your first clue that our communist government is lying.

It doesn’t matter who did it, it matters who Russia thinks did it and that’s US & Ukraine. No way does Putin allow this to go unanswered.

Isn’t great that we have a government we can trust in the USA...sarc on steroids

At least the Russians have an ‘investigative committee’.

Where’s the investigative committee looking into all the associates of Jeffrey Epstein?

Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer claimed in her court appeal that Epstein’s 2008 sweetheart plea deal with the feds covers Ghislaine.

If that is the case I guess it covers the others but the DOJ is up to its neck in it then aren’t they and there’s more I won’t talk about right now.

Of course it’s nonsense, but Putin will use it to the RF’s advantage nonetheless. Propaganda is warfare.

Exaggerated claims of Kosovo civilian casualties led to the bombing of Serbia. The Gulf of Tonkin incident led to you-know-what. False accusations against the IDF are turning U.S. and world opinion against Israel.

So it goes.

I would assume Ukraine did it and putin ought to be worried about that.

What else does Ukraine have up its sleeve?

Nobody wants to believe ISIS whey they say, “We did it”.

Putin: “It was the Ukrainians (not our Muslim allies of convenience).”

Biden regime: “It was a Russian false flag operation (can’t blame Muslims in our election year)”.

Our feral government lies to us about almost everything.

They lie, gaslight and prevaricate, so often about so much that the default position of most people is to not believe a word that comes from Washington or their tame press.

They lie about Ukraine, they lie about the border, they lie about Biden influence peddling, they lie about the economy, they lie about January 6, they lie about HAMAS and Israel.

They lied about Trump and the Russian dossier..

They lie about riding a train across a bridge with no railroad tracks.

They lie even when there is nothing to be gained by lying.

Lying, gaslighting and prevaricating is their default position - it is what they do.

So why wouldn’t they gaslight or lie to the Russians?

We heard the same thing about the Nord Stream pipelines before Seymour Hersch provided the evidence we blew them up.

Then again, it’s been a tough week. maybe they’re taking some time off.

Propaganda is warfare.

And, the Biden regime and British have repeatedly put out the most absurd propaganda throughout this war.

No sane person believes anything coming from the Biden regime.

Yup. Including the NordStream blow-up. Even Kissinger thought the U.S. did it in his last interview before kicking the bucket.
