This is a classic case of responding to a false premise. “We must protect the squatters’ rights.” NO!!! The squatters have NO rights! The discussion ends by not accepting the false premise of squatters’ rights. If you “debate” it, or “bring it to a vote” then there is a good chance that the squatters may “acquire” those very rights.
ANYONE can browse the tax liens properties & GO to County & work to purchase said properties.
A SQUATTER is a renter who won’t move-—
OR a person who has broken into a home & refuses to leave.
Could be a home up for sale
Could be owners are on vacation
Could be the owners have a 2nd home that they are at-—
Could be any number of things.
