Scumbag? What war have you been in? You ever serve in the military?
The mess is not just Israel's. It is our mess as well. All of the non-muslim world is under assault by jihadi forces and has been for 1400 years. Whether the targets of jihad are Jewish or Christian or Hindu et al, islam wants them dead or converted.
Unless you understand the historical context of what is going on today, you will not make rational decisions about this conflict.
Some times in life you must pick a side. I pick the Judaeo-Christian western world. Others pick Islam. There is no avoiding this fight unless we surrender our religion, freedoms and culture and accede to the dictates of the Koran.
This is an existential issue.
