There doesn’t seem to be a market for $20 cheeseburgers unless you’re a fat toad like Chris Chrissy that gets paid off to trash Trump
They never stop demanding more. When the chant was “$15” I knew it would soon be $20. Now that it’s 20, it will soon be 30.
The people who make laws don’t know anything about how the free market works, but plan nevertheless to shut it down.
I remember Foster’s Freeze from when I was a very small boy.
If they had one lick of business sense they'd be running business, not sucking off the taxpayer.
A fundamental problem with getting good people into politics is that successful businessmen who understand finance and economics can't afford to quit their jobs, and certainly don't want to go into the political cesspool.
Trump, a man who built skyscrapers in New York City, and Musk, a guy who is literally a rocket scientist are both called "idiots" by cretins who aren't flt to shine the shoes of these great men.
In my town in Montana fast food pays $20.00 per hour and the product is expensive.
Walmart starts at $22.00 per hour and Target starts at $23.00 per hour...
The Montana minimum wage is $10.33.
Businesses purchase employee WORK. Businesses are in competition for employees...if there are no employees they need to pay more (and pass the cost to the consumer) or fold.
California is just not doing it correctly!
Goofy Dem woman who was running for Calif Fed Senate replacement was campaigning on $50 an hour MINIMUM. LEE ???
It boils down to the question of whether the industry can afford the inevitable, ongoing automation process. $40K a year can buy a lot of automation. And it works 24/7 and doesn't spit in yer burger. As for the workers, well, in a Fundamentally Transformed America (tm) they're no longer exploited. That's because they're no longer workers.
The minimum wage is $0.00 ...
As a small fry in the 50s my grandmother took me for a walk to the Fosters Freeze for a frostie. (We were visiting Cali, and I had never had a frostie before.) I just loved it. Memories from a then 6-year old.
Newsome exempted his high end restaurant from the law.
They sell $5000 wine and pay employees $15.
Dead serious.
Indeed the California Capone?.
$10.50 for a Big Mac meal. A good way to get to the young voter.
Capone wasn’t a hypocrite.
He didn’t have to be it was an or else deal.
If you want to stay in business you go by the rules.
Another tap on mom and dad for a few more bucks.
Only people with brain damage are going to work for $15 an hour in a state where the minimum wage is $20 an hour...
All these restaurants need the Panera carve out. Bake some rolls for sale and drop the wages again.
