Only PMSNBC and some members of the GOP-e Senate are stupid enough to believe this.

There isn’t any data supporting the idea that quakes on the east coast are “more common” or trending upward in any way.
They are not unprecedented. They are as rare as ever.

If it’s not going to be burning sulfur that rids us of NYC and Washington DC, earthquakes would be a satisfactory Plan B.
Even better would be if they repented like Ninevah but I’m not holding my breath.

We need a witch doctor and an animal gut ritual to make this more scientific.

Maybe not burning sulfur...
But how about Sulfix and/or Carbfix, which interestingly are being done on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland.
Apparently anthropogenic earthquakes are indeed a thing.

Long periods of flooding can cause water levels to rise leading to possible landslides. Those slides can "lubricate" faults and may account for a higher frequency of quakes, explained Dr. Marsellos. However God wants to do it is fine with me. They’ve been sent warning after warning; the only thing that will get their attention is catastrophe.

Why not just skip the intermediary of climate change and go directly to blaming MAGA? :)
