Scottish police have warned that the controversial new hate speech law enacted by the leftist government of Humza Yousaf will force police to cut backs on the policing of actual crimes.
The head of the Scottish Police Federation (SPF), David Threadgold, warned on Saturday that the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act will necessitate sacrificing other areas of policing due to the strain on officer time recording and investigating complaints of potential speech violations.

Just require the complainant come to an office with limited parking between the hours of 11am-1pm to fill out a score of forms, in triplicate. One cantankerous clerk could run the office and file the forms in the folder of forgetfulness.

They are right, and this is *not* an unintended consequence.
Police in the UK actually arrest real criminals? Really? I heard that in the UK everything was policed EXCEPT crime. I know that self defense there is a much more serious crime than home invasion (Tony Martin). I know that a man was recently sentenced to 2 years in jail for holding up a protest sign. I know that property come is through the roof there, kind of like big blue cities here and for the same reason.
That sounds like a feature, not a bug.
This is becoming a pattern: more police state, followed by more actual crime.
The more crime there is, the more people will support a police state, hoping for security.
As a policeman, who are you more likely to get hurt or killed confronting—someone who breaks into houses, or someone who burns a trans flag? Someone who rapes little girls or someone who hurt someone’s feelings with a ‘mean tweet’? Someone who is willing to slit his daughter’s throat to save family honor, or a woman silently praying outside an abortionist’s office?
But the Scottish government has decreed that the latter ‘crimes’ are much more important than the former. It’s for the ‘greater good’.
That’s the plan.
Flood them with true reports of anti-Christian bigotry.
As I keep saying, you get the kind of government you vote for.
Does that fella look Scottish? Isn’t it mostly the women causing this.
Only because they choose to.
Ignore the *hate crime* reports just like you currently ignore the real crime reports and problem solved.
Then you have time for real crime.
However, if someone defends themselves, the police will have plenty of time to address THAT, as if it’s a crime to defend yourself.
They can’t have the poor criminals hurt, you know.
It really should lead to more SSS.
Scotland is still over 97% white British/Scottish. They can’t blame imported voters for this one.
