As we all know, the best defense is...........
During the first Gulf War, Bob Hope performed another USO type trip to the troops on the ground. A group of Marines sang this wonderful song for Hope. Patterned after the Beach Boys Barbara Ann
Bomb, bomb, bomb
Bomb, bomb Iraq
So let’s update to Iran. In 2009 thousands of regular Iranians took to the streets in opposition to the Islamofascistnazis. Unfortunately, Valerie Jarrett and Hussein are as anti-American as the Mullahs, and did nothing to overthrow the Iranian tyrants. Perhaps soon Iran will be free of the insanity.
“So let’s update to Iran.”
Exactly such a song was recorded and released in 1980.

Bomb bomb Iran was the song - not Iraq
All the opposition needed was a little help.
You touch on the folks in Iran who are not happy with the
current leadership. I’m not fully convinced that makes
them our friends, but I do believe some of the Shah’s old
followers and their children remember how much better off
they all were during that period.
Calls for leveling Iran don’t sit well with me. I don’t
like the idea of killing folks who might just want to have
a better relationship with the U. S., as they used to.
I’ve worked with former Iranians, and the ones I came
into contact with were both Christians, and very
Westernized.
In 1980, a local San Diego band did a cover of that Beach Boys tune, with the lyrics “Bomb Iran” substituted for Barbara Ann. It was a decent cover and got played a few times a week on the local rock station, KGB FM 101.5 during the Iran hostage crisis.
I can guarantee you that some of the Camp Pendleton marines heard the cover tune in 1980 and remembered it 11 years later in the Gulf.
