The 87-year-old self-described “frontman” for an elaborate Chinese-run drug trafficking organization active in rural Maine told the Maine Wire that he’s been living with a family of black market marijuana growers for nearly three years and helping them with electrical upgrades at facilities throughout the state.
In exchange for his services, the immigrant family feeds him, provides some level of medical care, and takes him almost everywhere they go.
That was just one of the stunning details revealed by J. Martin Vachon, a master electrician from Ellsworth, over the course of an hour-long phone interview — details that are confirmed by extensive research into public records maintained by the state of Maine.
Vachon revealed never-before-reported details of Chinese-owned marijuana growing operations in Maine and the electrical work he’s performed at the facilities for more than three years, as well as the network’s ties to at least one seemingly-legitimate Penobscot County business.
“They hurt no one,” said Vachon.
“These Chinese people are hardworking people, they saw an opportunity to make a buck and they’re trying to, okay, but they’re not hurting anybody,” Vachon said.

Once again, another state that has alllowed liberals to creep into their quaint New England, toss a 1000 Somalians who are breeding more Somalians who become instant citizens, and you get to witness a state circle the bowl.
It isn’t that hard to find these places and destroy them. It isn’t that hard to find the Chinese running them and locking them up.
“a property that was recently gifted to a Chinese national living in Guangdong Province, China, a title transfer facilitated by Gov. Janet Mills’ brother, Paul H. Mills.”
The Governors brother sold the property to the Chinese national. Sorry, I mean “gifted”.
What did the governor’s brother get for giving their property to this Chinese person?
That is how they busted grow houses like this in NH during the Great Recession. They knew there were people bypassing the meters and stealing electricity.
FYI, I just got done watching a series on Netflix called “The Gentleman”. It was done by Guy Ritchie. It was about a British Duke who inherits his fathers title and property. Only to find out that his dad was partners with mobsters growing marijuana on their 15M acre estate.
Exactly! They don’t want to bust them because they or the gov or all get kickbacks from them. IF They know how many grow farms there are in Maine, then they obviously know where all the grow farms are!
According to the TV show “North Woods Law” these do not exist - only a few scattered grows which Wildlife agents find tine to time. Sure. You betcha.
Then they just have to track down which “farm” is using so many KWH’s. This is being done in rural areas.
In NH they busted them by driving around and seeing how much HEAT was being emitted by various houses at night. Some of the houses had 30 or more 1000 watt bulbs going in the basement of a house. They had ventilation systems to exhaust the heat up the chimneys of the houses. As stated in the article these grow houses use 100x more power than a typical residential house. This puts up big flags at the electric company. So, they have to bypass the meter to use that much power.
Yep- they know where the farms are- sadly corruption is the word of the day, and the farms continue to grow for years without gov interference-
citizens should get together a list of all known pot farms in the area (Locals know where the farms are just as swell as officials know), and bring the list to town meetings, and demand to know why something isn’t being done to bust the criminals
Bingo, the only way there are this many grow operations is that the government & police are getting paid to NOT find them.
The FIRING SQUADS need to be reassembled.
The legendary weed kingpin!!!!
I’m still trying to figure out how one becomes a kingpin selling something that be grown anywhere by anyone.
It should make sense shortly.
If they are selling on the black market then arrest them.
“North Wood Law” and it’s episodes are years old.
I sometimes see the game wardens on the show ticket people for having a loaded firearm in their vehicle.
Constitutional Carry took effect in 2019 and its legal to have a loaded firearm in your vehicle without a permit.
These Chinese pot farms raise billions of dollars, are not regulated, and do not pay state or federal income tax. The money is used to fund other criminal activities in the U.S. or is sent back to China.
The legal pot growers in Maine do not get this “privilege.”
I live in Maine and I wish I could start a business free of regulation and free of state and federal income taxes.
“North Wood Law” and it’s episodes are years old.

If that’s true, then why are they listed as shows dated 2023 - you may be watching re-runs.
I watch “North Woods Law” on the weekends on the Discovery channel. I guess many of them are reruns, because many of them I remember seeing before.
On one episode a reference was made to Hurricane Sandy. I thought, “Wow, that was in the Fall of 2012!”
I hope some of the episodes are more recent, but the episodes where the game wardens tell people it’s illegal to have a loaded firearm in their vehicle must have been taped prior to October 2019. It was that month and year that Constitutional Carry, passed in June of that year, took effect.
It’s no longer illegal to have a loaded firearm in your vehicle, or on your person, in Maine. If pulled over, you’re supposed to inform the police officer / sheriff’s deputy / state trooper / game warden that you have such a firearm.
