CLEAR is complimentary with my Amex card, and I use it in every airport where it’s available - combined with TSA pre-check, it makes getting through security a lot faster. Leave it to the idiots in CA to screw it up for frequent business travelers - of course, it won’t affect the rich who can fly private.
You dont bypass security. You have a special line that has fewer people so you can get thru security faster. Plus like with Global Entry, you often dont have to take off belts, shoes, etc.
when we wait in line, more often than not they just shoo us thru...
Good. People should not be able to skip the molestation that everyone else has to put up with. The more they experience having their genitalia examined, the sooner we can see an end to the GW Bush airport screenings.
Never been to Orlando, I see...
Federal money is keeping air transportation running. Sorry state but you don’t really have a say about Government programs.
State Department and some official travel as well.
I never heard of this. Sounds good to me. I use TSA pre check and use to fly business so I skipped ahead most of my travels. But if I can save even more time for less then a few dinners on the town, sign me up.
Will they work when we all have to stand in breadlines?
Illegals don’t have to get screened...
Global Entry is much better as its international as well as domestic.
Problem is now everybody has it, so the lines are getting long.
And I’ve been waiting for like four months for my approval.
Of course you are right about the state doing anything.
I would add the management of the water resourses like storage and desalination.
As a former teacher, the state should disband the unions and provide for total school choice. No public service should be unionized.
Public services used to be prohibited of unionization. The idea was that the civil service wages were set to reflect the general market anyway. Plus, job security was better in government jobs. Since public taxpayers’ money was (is) at stake, it was felt that the public officials were responsible for spending it, setting civil service wages, and that any third parties like unions should not become involved.
Back then, unions were gaining strength and support in the private sector. Nowadays, the private sector workers have all but abandoned unionization (some exceptions like auto and steel industries remain). And most of the growth in union power has moved into the public sector.
It is interesting on both sides of the fence. Not quite sure the reasons driving these trends...
