Thank you for your continued support for all of us.
And thank you for personally risking your life by coming to Viet Nam
with Bob Hope on 2 different Christams tours to show support for us while so many at home scorned us.

I am not sure exactly who said it. I am so sorry. I wish I did so I could post it with the quote. Perhaps someone will tell us on here.

Thank you for serving and Welcome Home.

You served this counrty and I am so very proud to know you. What I did was hardly anything but the memories I have I cherish always. I will never forget the faces, the touch of the hands and hugs and the lives that touched my heart. God Bless you my friend.

Read the book. Don't see how they can make a movie on the real thing. No one frags anyone. No one does any drugs. No blacks against whites. No women flying rescue missions. Just a bunch of men getting into one hell of a fight with North Vietnam Regulars not insurrectionists as we were constantly reminded by Hanoi Jane, Joan Baez, Pete Seegar, Tom Hayden and their fellow travelers.

Look forward to ALOHA RONNIE'S review.

Thanks for posting this... and thanks to the men who served. America needs to remember her servicemen and treat them a little better.

We Were Soldiers

One day in the fall of '70, Rick Jason, the LT from the television program "Combat" stopped by to have lunch in Kontum. That night, sitting out on guard duty with some friends, someone mentioned the program. It seemed to us, that "Combat" showed all these big fully grown men. Then someone said; 'we're just kids...' The silence then became deafening.
