You realy can't smell a body through concrete, either, unless you are a cadaver pooch.

"Um, seems to me the *smell* of a decomposing body would be quite overwhelming! It might have been the smell that tipped them off..."
I emailed this story to my uncle carmine. He called me up and told me that you can't smell past the concrete and would not go into details but said he would get back to me later after he does some work in the backyard.

You realy can't smell a body through concrete, either, unless you are a cadaver pooch. And, even if you assume that there would be a noticeable odor (which there woudln't) that's assuming the home has had one owner (unlikely in that area. The home may have had a string of owners none the wiser.

"If this was Chandra and Condit was involved I'll bet he'd be sweating bullets about now."Eating one, more likely."
That is my thoughts too. If Chandra Levy's body is found, GC will check out.

Secondly, I know what you guys mean when you say this, but saying you hope that its Chandra is rather unseemly. My greatest hope is that they find her wandering around somewhere with amnesia or something.
Odds are, Chandra was murdered. If this body isn't her's (and it probably isn't), that only means there were 2 murders, not that Chandra is safe.

unless you are a cadaver pooch.........................
LOL, that's funny.

Didn't some gangsters from New York come out a few years ago and say that they had killed Hoffa, cut him up, and put him in the foundations of Giants Stadium in New Jersey?
To: Teacup
The Szumski case in Jersey wasn't old concrete. She went missing May 17th, and her body was found just s short while ago in Phila. It was in a basement, wrapped in plastic tarps I think, encased in concrete, and a false block wall was built in front of it all.

C'mon Fred. Everybody knows Jimmy is buried underneath the Giants goal post in NJ.

If Chandra Levy's body is found, GC will check out. You cannot find what has already returned to its elemental form.

It sure is inside the beltway, isn't it? I'm not saying it's Chandra, but how interesting. Thanks.

"For the recod, the county is Anne Arundel" Thanks, I was close. Kinda.
I am on the road and I asked one of my co-workers the name, so I spelled it as it sounded.
recod=record

Oops! Murphy's Law - if you correct someone, you will make a typo while doing so. Thanks.

It seems so wierd that someone would find a body in concrete.
This sounds like a tipster's lead. I can't imagine just happening to find a body in a concrete block.

This sounds like a tipster's lead. ...................
I was thinking the same.

No, no, no. The house is being renovated! The floor or foundation was breached and an unexpected cracker jack prize appeared. It's as simple as that.

"You cannot find what has already returned to its elemental form." You have a good point there.

Could you tell us any more about the details of this Szumski case? I've never heard of it. (Did a quick google search but didn't find anything.) Thanks.
