From the Koran: Every Christian should read.

From the Quran

2:120: “Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, Islâmic Guidance is the only Guidance. And if you were to follow their desires after what you have received of Knowledge, then you would have against Allâh neither any protector nor helper.”

3:56: “As to those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe torment in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."

3:85: “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.”

3:118: “O you who believe! Take not as your helpers or friends those outside your religion since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the verses if you understand.”

3:178: “And let not the disbelievers think that Our postponing of their punishment is good for them. We postpone the punishment only so that they may increase in sinfulness. And for them is a disgracing torment.”

5:14: “And from those who call themselves Christians, We took their covenant, but they have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. So We planted amongst them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection, and Allâh will inform them of what they used to do.”

5:51: “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends, they are but friends to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as friends, then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allâh guides not those people who are the wrongdoers.”

5:73: “Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allâh is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no god but Allâh. And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them.”

8:39: “And fight them until there is no more disbelief in Islam and the religion will all be for Allâh Alone...”

9:23: “O you who believe! Take not for supporters your fathers and your brothers if they prefer disbelief to Belief. And whoever of you does so, then he is one of the wrong-doers.”

9:29: “Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not Islam as the religion of truth among the people of the Scripture, until they pay the Jizyah [religious tax] with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”

9:34: “O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the Jewish rabbis and the Christian monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder men from the Way of Allâh. And those who hoard up gold and silver, and spend it not in the Way of Allâh -- announce unto them a painful torment.”

9:123: “O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allâh is with those who are the pious.”

Quran, 9:29: “Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allâh, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allâh and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not Islam as the religion of truth among the people of the Scripture, until they pay the Jizyah [religious tax] with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”.

"Clearly Islam has serious faults..."

So now Koran-inspired Jihad and murder of infidels is nothing more than a "serious fault???"

Please, by all means, let's tell the families of those victims killed this past Tuesday that what happened wasn't really an act of war, rather that it was just "their bad."

I'm sure they'll all feel better knowing it was just one big mistake. </sarcasm>

And I know all about what the CINO (Christians in name only)did killing in the name of Jesus, ...Walking into a bread store doesn't make you a loaf of bread anymore than walking into a church makes you a christian (follower of Christ). I am talking about doctrine. Now if you want to talk about muslim people that is different. The peaceful muslim people and the violent muslim people are both loved by God, the Bible says so. God loves every one of us, But Islam the doctrine is not loved by God. Islam or Christianity. America...do you know which one is true?

"I wish there was an easier way to educate Americans about the true central doctrines of Islam."

I tried and the thread got pulled! People would rather not know the truth than deal with the harsh realities of life. I'm reminded of the saying "ignorance is bliss."

Thank God there was no football this weekend, or half of the people in this country wouldn't have given any thought to what happened this past Tuesday beyond the kickoff!

Allah is dead, Jesus is alive, and every soul on this earth is about to learn that truth. Wether they accept that truth is their decision.

And every Islam suicide bomber NOW knows they were deceived by their leaders...that the promise of paradise for murdering innocent women, children and civilians was a lie from the pit of hell...where they have been condemned to spend eternity for their evil deeds along with their miserable hatefilled leaders...and that there is no "Allah" to help them.

It is incredibly sad.

I was responding to his list of quotes from the Koran, and said that while these were not the sort of mindset we would approve of today, one could find similar quotes from the Bible which reflected much the same mindset.

But since you bring up this story about Lebanon, please show us some authoritative documentation for it. Perhaps it's true, but someone's "Geocities" website proves nothing. Bear in mind that there is the question of blood types to be considered. Taking everything into account, it doesn't seem plausible.

My point is not that Islamic countries are wonderful places to live or entirely filled with wonderful people, but that one can find bad points in any culture or religion, if one surveys their entire history. Remember those killed in the Wars of Religion or the Cathars and Albigensians ...

We will have to do what we will have to do. Stirring up excessive hatred or contempt or anger doesn't seem to be called for.

Now how about posting the verses from the Bible that call for bloodletting, and avoidance of people that don't follow the teachings? There are plenty you know.

The Qu'ran is not all evil, just as the Bible is not all evil because of certain verses.

To label all Muslims under your assertion is about the same as labeling all Catholics according to the Inquisition.

With your type of tripe it is no wonder that so many are misinformed and taking action against perfectly decent Muslim American citizens. jmo

8:39: “And fight them until there is no more disbelief in Islam and the religion will all be for Allâh Alone...”

This brands Islam as being very similar to Baal worship in a bygone era. The Moslem "Allah" is not able to defend himself. He must have the believers of Islam do his fighting for him - just as did Baal. Quite a bit different from the God of heaven who says, in effect, "Shutup, stand back, and SEE the salvation of the Lord!"

"The Qu'ran is not all evil..."

Hardly a ringing endorsement.

Unfortunately, the parts that are evil allow for what happened last Tuesday.

I have studied Islam for the past 4 or 5 years, and regardless of what Muslims say, I do not believe the God of the bible is this Allah that they describe. The God of the bible calls his people, his children, and Allah calls his people, his slaves ,and there is a difference. And the list of the differences goes on and on. The God of the bible wrote the 10 commandments on tablets of stone, and the Muslims to not pay any attention to it. God said, Thou shall not kill, and Jihad is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. These gods are just not the same. I have noticed that the Quran never mentions Jehova as one of God's names. Allah degrades women, says they only have half as much sense as a man. No, they are not the same god. God is a God of love and respect for human life. There is a big difference.

Will we have to go to Mexico next because some Christians are persecuted there too?

Story Filed: Monday, March 06, 2000 5:50 PM EST

CATHOLICS BANISH PROTESTANTS IN SOUTHERN MEXICAN TOWN

Las Margaritas, Mexico, Mar 06, 2000 (EFE via COMTEX) -- Roman Catholics in the predominantly indigenous southern Mexican town of Plan de Ayala expelled some 150 evangelical Protestants, a spokesman for the banished group said Monday.

Jorge Hernandez said a mob toting guns and machetes on Sunday gathered in the center of town, fired shots into the air and called for all Evangelicals to leave Plan de Ayala.

After a group of Evangelicals left, the mob, reportedly led by two local officials, ransacked the houses of 31 families, Hernandez said.

The whereabouts of several women, children and elderly people were still unknown Monday, Hernandez said. Many of those expelled ran into the hills seeking refuge.

Chiapas state officials and security forces have arrived in Plan de Ayala to mediate a solution and deter any further use of force.

The resident Catholics have threatened to expel another 300 Evangelists still living in town.

The Catholics have been pressuring the Evangelicals to leave town for several months. In January, 10 Protestants were put in jail when they filed for a permit to build a church.

---

Where will it end? Where do we draw the line?

So true, you know what I find difficult to deal with in this forum and what I am seeing and hearing on TV. I am being told what to think and feel about Islam when I already know all about it because of my experience and it makes me mad. IT IS THE DOCTRINE, not the people, that is central to this terror. Most middle eastern nation's people have a TOTALLY different culture than us. THEY do not even know what freedom is, they have no concept or vision of it because no one has ever had it over there. Freedom is a foreign concept. To us it is our life and breath, to them, it is strange and evil. It is rooted in the doctrines of Islam. Geez, the Koran says it's ok to beat your wife. And please remember I am talking about Doctrine...not people. I am just an average middle class working mom of 4 who loves America and the Lord and grieves at the thought of other Americans laying aside Jesus and the only truth of the Bible so easily it seems for political correctness. It is only my opinion, and as far as I know, in America, I'm still allowed to have one and express it. Now some 'wise' person will remark, "well, so do mulims and other faiths" and totally miss my point. Oh well, is there anyone out there who understands my point? If I were to equate Koran with the Bible....I just have no words to describe the sorrow of that thought.

"Bear in mind that there is the question of blood types to be considered."

I'm sure that what happened in Lebanon is OK so long as the soldiers took only the blood type they needed, eh?

Stirring up excessive hatred or contempt or anger doesn't seem to be called for.

And what level of anger would you consider "appropriate" for the wanton, cowardly slaughter of thousands of our countrymen? What level of anger was "appropriate" for our collective response to Pearl Harbor?

You presume too much when you presume to tell me how angry I can or can't be.

The difference is that those Catholics are acting contrary to the Bible, while Islamic terrorists are acting in accordance with the Koran.

Put a fundamentalist Christian and a fundamentalist Moslem in a room together. Who has more to fear from the other based on what their respective holy writings teach?

In the meantime, I'm getting sick and tired of reading all these posts that equivocate between Christianity and Islam. There is no moral equivalence, and people who try to make one are just plain ignorant.

I was showing the comparison between their sacred writings. But that must have zipped on over your head.

It was the only part worthy of a response. The rest was nothing more than typical liberal handwringing and pantwetting.
