Sen. Clinton: ‘We will keep going’ (WARNING! BARF ALERT!)
MSNBC ^ | Sept. 17

Posted on 09/19/2001 9:57:51 AM PDT by Teacup

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton speaks to Dateline NBC's Jane Pauley about how New Yorkers are faring in the wake of the recent attack. Attack hit close to home: daughter Chelsea was jogging in the area at the time of the attack. Sept. 17— The tragedy reverberates on so many levels now — the families in which thousands of children are now motherless or fatherless or both. The extent of the disaster in dollars— $20 billion — she calls just the “first installment.” But even for a United States Senator, it began on a very, very personal level. Dateline NBC’s Jane Pauley sat down with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to talk about the tragic events of the last week.

ON TUESDAY MORNING Sen. Hillary Clintons’ first thought when the second plane hit was “terrorists.” Her next thought was “Chelsea,” who was not only in New York, but staying downtown.
“She’d gone on what she thought would be just a great jog,” says Sen. Clinton. “She was going to go down Battery Park. She was going to go around the Towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and that’s when the plane hit.”
Chelsea was close enough to hear the rumble? “She did hear it,” says Clinton. “She did.”
And to see the smoke in person, not on television? “That’s right,” she says.

“Of course Bill was in Australia and he was so upset by what he was seeing on television that I didn’t want to tell him that I couldn’t find her until I found her,” she says. “I told him, everything’s fine, don’t worry. But I couldn’t do it with the level of assurance that I needed until l could find her a couple of hours later.”

Thousands weren’t so fortunate. Last week, t he former first lady introduced a bill to speed federal aid to families of rescue workers who are dead or missing, while her successor was giving the nation its first glimpse of how she can handle a crisis.

The senator was impressed.

Clinton had said she made her proud. “She did,” says Clinton.

Why that word? “Well, because I know how difficult that position is from my own eight years of experience,” she says. “And you know when the country is under attack, when your husband may very well be a target. It’s not easy to go out there and in a composed and very gracious manner. So I was just very proud.”

The president did come under some criticism for not appearing in public as often as some think he might. What is your comment? You’ve lived in the White House through crises.

“She’d gone on what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down Battery Park. She was going to go around the Towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and that’s when the plane hit.”

— SEN. HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON On Chelsea's whereabouts

“I know the tensions that exist between a president and the Secret Service because clearly their job is to protect the president at all costs,” says Clinton. “And I know there must have been some very difficult and tense moments. But what really matters is that he is safe, he is in charge, he is, you know, running our government, and that’s what everybody should be grateful for.”

Hijacking has taken a hideous turn. There are reports that the Pentagon, with the president’s approval, was ready to shoot down a commercial airliner had it in fact threatened the White House or the U.S. Capital. Would that have been with Congress’ approval?

“I for one would not have second guessed that decision,” says Clinton. “And I don’t think that the president had any choice but to make the most difficult order that anyone in that position can make, which is, you know, to say, ‘We have to do what is necessary, and that may mean the loss of innocent life.’”

Does she know Jeremy Glick’s story? “I do,” she says. Last week, ‘Dateline’ viewers met the family of the 31-year-old man who told his wife, by Airfone, about plans to ‘rush the hijackers’ of the fourth plane then bearing down on the nation’s capital.

“They took it into their own hands,” says Clinton. “In fact, I think they had a vote as, one of the accounts tells, they voted about what to do. What could be more American, and a greater rebuke to those who would try to destroy our way of life, than to have a vote on the plane about what to do, and to take action immediately?”

Clinton’s office is researching a suitable memorial for the heroes of flight 93 — perhaps even the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Meanwhile, as the work of recovery goes on, she has brought fellow members of congress to see for themselves what television does not convey.

“Our elected representatives are on the front lines of making the decisions about the war we’re waging against terrorism, and about rebuilding New York,” she says. “And there is nothing like it. We don’t want anyone to feel in a week or two or a month that the enormity of this somehow can be gotten over. We can keep going, and we will, and we can rise even higher and better than we were. But we can’t ever forget what happened on day.”

Sen. Clinton has made three visits to the scene of the devastation — which she says encompasses 16 acres. And while the search for survivors has been so disheartening, the work there is just as determined as when she saw it first, when she felt like she was standing at the gates of hell.

Why is it important where Chelsea was? Why is this the first thing HILLARY! talks about? Does anyone know where Andrew Giuliani was? Has anybody asked? Would Rudy ever bothered to say?

The narcissism of the Clintons knows no bounds. Five thousand dead and it's all about them.

OK, where was Andrew Giuliani? Don't know, because nobody bothered to say. There were two million people within a mile of that blast, and I don't care whether or not Chelsea was one of them. Of course, HILLARY! cares. But why should we? Why is it news?

Surely you are aware that the Clintons are media grubbing publicity addicts. Could it be that they are using the story about Chelsea to get face time? If they are, is it even necessary that the story about Chelsea's location be true?

SPEW ALERT!!! SPEW ALERT!!! SPEW ALERT!!!

LEST WE FORGET THE “HUMAN STATUE OF LIBERTY”

Jewish World Review

Hillary: Our "Human Statue of Liberty"

By Beth E. Gilinsky

http://www.jewishworldreview.com -- Last week, Hillary Clinton celebrated her birthday at Roseland in New York City. At the event, a song sheet for "A Song for Hillary" was distributed. The lyrics follow:

The whole world will be dancing in the street when Hillary Rodham Clinton takes her Senate seat.

No carpetbagger is she; she's a human Statue of Liberty.

Hillary, Hillary, Hillary! We're so glad for the joy that she will bring.

We can always count on her to do the right thing.

She's faithful and honest, too.

Thank God she's happened to me and you.

Hillary, Hillary, Hillary! No matter what the voices of deception say,

vote Hillary Clinton on Election Day.

No matter the problems, big or small, she will tackle and solve them all.

The whole world will be dancing in the street when Hillary Rodham Clinton takes her Senate seat.

No carpetbagger is she; she's a human Statue of Liberty.

Hillary, Hillary, Hillary!

One could say that Mrs. Clinton had never seen these lyrics before the event, but that is doubtful because the song sheet was printed and reproduced prior to the evening and distributed by paid workers.

So we had to laugh out loud when we saw the lyric "she's a human Statue of Liberty." What arrogance, what brazen gall, for this woman to allow herself to be called "a human Statue of Liberty" -- with her record! The "Statue of Liberty" is hardly the female figure she resembles; Lady Macbeth more quickly pops to mind. Or, better, the Wicked Witch of the West, flying on her broomstick, spelling out across the sky in black smoke, "Surrender America."

And what irony. We were outside for Hillary's birthday protesting the latest report of Mrs. Clinton's acceptance of $50,000 in June from a group whose leader supports the Palestinian Arabs' use of armed force against Israel. But we were permitted nowhere near, in sight, or in hearing distance of the gala shindig, which hosted such notable New Yorkers as Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, and Cher…

Having sponsored quite a few protests over the years, including a number where heads of state (including President Clinton) and the Secret Service were present, we well understand the legitimate concerns and requirements of the Secret Service to protect the First Family, and comprehend reasonable requests for a protest to be at a distance. We respect the courage and dedication of the Secret Service. Our complaint is not with them. But not until Hillary Clinton came to town have we ever been pushed completely out of sight at every single event we have attended, so far away that we are ready now to assert our belief that during Mrs. Clinton's campaign our civil liberties have been undermined significantly: the "human Statue of Liberty" finds a way every time to prevent our message from being heard, in effect restricting our liberties which we, as Americans, hold dear.

As importantly, it is time for New York and America to stand up and demand answers from Hillary Clinton. She has had plenty of comfy coddling and self-congratulatory celebration at fancy events with limousines and celebrities. It seems that, while she is content enjoying the attention she gets at lavish feasts with the well-heeled, or in tightly controlled press events or photo ops, she is on edge in situations where she may have to think on her feet or face tough questions. She also will not meet with those leaders who might bring her fundraising activities and pro-PLO record into the cool, clear light of public scrutiny. Which is why we have taken to the streets to raise the issues for the public in the hope that someone out there might be able to get some answers from Hillary Clinton. Chris Matthews, Tim Russert, Fox News and other political interview shows have been unsuccessful in getting Hillary to appear on their shows.

For example, according to the national Jewish weekly The Forward, Mrs. Clinton raised tens of thousands of dollars in recent months for her campaign at private, secret fund-raisers that were closed to the media, collecting huge sums from pals of Yasser Arafat. Surely Mrs. Clinton knows that this year Arafat has released dozens of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists from prison. The October 1998 Wye Accords require Arafat to "outlaw" Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which are responsible for the murder of hundreds of Israelis and Americans since the signing of the Oslo accords in 1993.

On May 12, at a reception at the mansion of Arafat pal Hani Masri, Mrs. Clinton reportedly raised more than $50,000. A week later, at a private event at the home of Arafat's friend, Rafat Mahmood, who supports "some of Israel's most vocal critics in Congress," she raised more than $70,000. All the while, Arafat's Palestinian Authority has provided financial assistance to imprisoned terrorists and Arafat himself praises his terrorist murderers as "martyrs."

Terrorism expert Steve Emerson reports that Mrs. Clinton and her husband have invited leaders of extremist Arab-American organizations to the White House. He states that the American public "might be a bit surprised to learn that both the President and First Lady have closely embraced an Islamic fundamentalist group in the U.S. that champions and supports Hamas. This group also openly supports, lobbies for, and defends other Islamic terrorist groups."

Last June, Hillary Clinton raised $50,000 from a U.S. Muslim organization that called for the use of armed force against Israel. It's leader, Abdurahman Alamoudi, who reiterated his enthusiastic support this past week for Hamas and Hizbollah at a Washington, DC rally, has been sent on six State Department missions abroad at the expense of the American taxpayer since 1997, with the purported purpose of promoting "religious tolerance." Alamoudi receives honorariums ranging from $100 to $200 per day, plus hotels and travel. When Mrs. Clinton was queried about Alamoudi's State Department junkets, she said, "Like George [W.] Bush, who took $1,000 from him, I returned my contribution. I didn't know these things." A day later it was reported that she had tried to cover up the contribution by the American Muslim Council on her financial disclosure forms as the American Museum Council. Shortly thereafter, a letter from Mrs. Clinton to the American Muslim Council surfaced that proved that the First Lady did, indeed "know these things."

If Mrs. Clinton doesn't worry much about Israeli victims of the violence of her donors' friends, surely she knows that American citizens, too, have been targets of terror. For example, in 1989, an American woman was killed by Palestinian Arab terrorists in a bus attack. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack; Arafat is not only sheltering those involved, but also has publicly urged Israel to release the bus attacker, Abdel Hadi Ghneim, praising him as "my brother warrior." This past February, Arafat freed Hamas terror leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi. Hamas terror has killed hundreds of Israelis and American men, women, and children since 1993.

Yes, children. Mrs. Clinton claims to be so concerned about the children, the children, the children. What about American children? Arafat is currently sheltering terrorists who murdered two California teenagers: Yitzhak Weinstock, 19, who was slaughtered near Jerusalem in December 1993, and Yael Botwin, 14, who was killed by terrorists in a bombing in Jerusalem in September 1997. In 1996, Dr. & Mrs. Leonard and Vicki Eisenfeld of Connecticut, and Mrs. Arline Duker, of New Jersey buried their children, Matt and Sara, who were murdered in a 1996 bombing.

Twenty-eight years ago last month, Palestinian Arab terrorists mutilated and then murdered the young Israeli athletes in the Munich Olympics. Those outstanding Olympians were somebody's children. Yaron Ungar, a 25 year-old teacher formerly from New York, and his wife were murdered by Palestinian Arab terrorists near Jerusalem, leaving behind two children, ages 2 and 7 months. Those young orphans are victims of terror, as are the seven children of Rabbi Hillel Liberman who was slaughtered several days ago by Palestinian Arabs as he tried to save sacred Torah Scrolls from the Tomb of Joseph.

But these are just little stories about the little lives of little people and the broken hearts of their loved ones are so much less important than the "human Statue of Liberty's" lust for a Senate seat.

The "Song for Hillary" lyrics claim that Hillary Clinton is "faithful and honest," and refer to the "voices of deception." That same "faithful and honest" woman embraced the anti-Semite Suha Arafat, after Suha engaged in one of the most vile, dishonest, anti-Israel blood libels heard in years.

"Faithful" Mrs. Clinton most certainly is - to the Arafats and to her other terror loving friends. Hillary Clinton has been consistent indeed in her troubling attraction to supporters of anti-Israel and anti-American terror. As far back as the 1980s, she was on the board of the New World Foundation funneling money to the PLO, when the PLO was well known to be a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of Israel, and calling for terrorist acts against innocents.

She cares so much about children, including, one supposes, the 25,000 Palestinian Arab youths who, this past summer, according to the New York Times, attended "summer camps," that trained them in shooting, stabbing, assembling assault weapons, ambushing and storming villages, murder, kidnapping, and terror. Now that summer is over, the Israeli newspaper, Ha'aretz, reported that Palestinian Arab pupils returning to school received new school textbooks on civics in which children are taught the lessons of bigotry, hatred, and violence. So they were well trained for this month, when Palestinian Arab adults have been sending them out to the streets to throw rocks and bombs, in a horrific example of mass child abuse.

Mrs. Clinton herself hosted a reception at the White House with leaders of the American Muslim Council, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and other apologists for Hamas terror . The affair's coordinators were a Mr. Salam al-Marayati, Director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), and his wife, who headed an entity calling itself the Muslim Women's League.

Salam al-Marayati has praised Hizballah -- who's trademark is the car bomb -- as "freedom fighters." Some of Hizballah's "contributions" to mankind are the 1992 car bomb that destroyed the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires; later that year nearly 100 men, women and children were blown up outside a Jewish community center in that same city in another bombing attack.

Hizballah was responsible for the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing hundreds. Hillary: those brave young Americans, too, were somebody's children.

Another MPAC leader, Maher Hathout, has distinguished himself by his justification of Hamas suicide bombings against Israel. The Muslim Women's League invited Mrs. Clinton to appear to a luncheon as featured speaker. The Muslim Women's League and their sister organization, the Islamic Center of Southern California (ICSC) have defended militant Islamic fundamentalism, supported radical Islamic groups, rationalized terrorism and issued anti-American, anti-Israeli and even anti-Semitic statements.

Ibrahim Hooper, a leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), attended one of the White House receptions hosted by "the human Statue of Liberty," who, all smiles, received a copy of the Koran from him. According to former FBI chief of counterterrorism, Steve Pomerantz, "CAIR is but one of a new generation of new groups in the United States that hide under a veneer of 'civil rights' or 'academic' status but in fact are tethered to a platform that support[s] terrorism."

Mr. Pomerantz wrote in the spring 1998 issue of the Journal of Counterterrorism & Security International about "civil rights" groups linked to terror: "Many organizations that support Middle East terrorist groups attempt to take advantage of our system to obfuscate their real purpose(s), conceal their true agenda and activities, and avoid law enforcement scrutiny…The methods employed by these organizations include ...branding as 'anti-Islamic bigots' those who expose their true purpose; misrepresenting their actual goals and activities; asserting that their fund-raising efforts are for benign charitable purposes rather than for the support of terrorism; [and] attempting to wrap themselves in the mantle of religion to disguise their true nature."

"Civil rights" groups, such as CAIR, according to Steve Emerson, "benefit from the freedom of speech that is fundamental to our democracy." CAIR has praised Hamas and defended Sheikh Omar Abdul-Rahman, a name that may sound familiar to New Yorkers: he was one of the bombers of the World Trade Center. One of the officers of CAIR, according to the Jewish Week, "has been listed by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in the World Trade Center bombing." But, our freedom of speech is discounted by the "human Statue of Liberty."

So, friends, hold on tight to your liberties, and your children. They may well be trampled in the stampede to power of the "human Statue of Liberty" and her terror pals. And don't dare breathe a word about it, or else summarily you will be marginalized as one of those "voices of deception."

You want to support Clinton? Get out there in the rubble and tag body parts for your illustrious Senators State. Hurry, before the blood of the victims washes their names off the terror the wrought.

May God look upon you now and in wrath, remember mercy.

Over 5,000 have died now as a result of his legacy.

>>>They died because nineteen terrorists took over four planes and crashed them into the WTC and Pentagon.

Why is it important where Chelsea was?

>>>Uh, former First Daughter

Five thousand Americans dead from a terrorist attack and Hill wants to run out and have stamps made for them. She makes me sick!

>>> She voted for the $40 billion aid package and the resolution authorizing the use of force.

>>>How about she is her mother? If she had not commented about her safety, then you would have attacked her for being a lousy mother...

So, you're saying that she's up there doing something genuine?

>>> She is doing what every politician (Republican or Democrat) would do after a tragedy, showing the presence and support of the government.

Where is your Senator? Hmmmmm?

>>> And if she stayed in DC, you would attack her for not supporting her constituents.

It may surprise you that Justice4All has told us time and time again how he isn't a Clinton defender! This should be obvious from the foregoing.
