Paul Harvey ran this this morning. Pretty cool. I know *I'd* feel better after hearing this.

Methinks this is an urban myth. The first time I saw it posted it was some other airline.

This speech would also have the desirable effect of making anyone who is sitting in a seat thinking about becoming a martyr have second thoughts.

Last week, I saw an interview on, I think, FNC with a commercial pilot who was in the air when we were attacked. He was asked what he had been prepared to do. He said that he and his co-pilot discussed this and found a heavy metal flashlight that could be used as a weapon if someone broke into the cockpit. Then, he instructed the passengers to secure their seatbelts. He said if someone was in the process of hijacking the plane, with the passengers secure in their seats, he would have maneuvered the plane in such a fashion as to bounce the hijacker off the ceiling! IOW, he would have beat the heck out of him/them with the plane! I thought the pilot was pretty cool. I do wonder if the passengers would have enjoyed being all over the sky, tho'.;o)

Did this really happen or just a suggestion?
