That is a great post Nita, but it says more than that; it says that the Clinton/Gore administration ran from every action that might upset private business deals they had going for them. It also tells us just how cowardly and traitorous the Clintons, Gore, Janet Reno, Vernon Jordan and other insiders like Strobe Talbot were and ARE.

xkaydet65: I don't dispute these facts for one second, as far as they go. But, what other donations did airlines make? Were there $100,000 made to the RNC or similar destinations? Labor unions are usually one tracked in their contributions to politics, but businessmen cover all bets. If the authors have a convincing case against Clnton and the democrats, pursue it, but make certain that the evidence used to condemn is not also to be found in other pockets besides the dems.

Good question. As usual, Newsmax.com doesn't research a story fooly and winds up looking foolish. Bush and Republicans received almost twice as much from airlines as did Democrats during the campaign.

If we follow the logic of Newsmax.com and Jon Loose and Connie Hair (who could dream up names like that?) and blame the airlines foot-dragging on who raked in the most campaign donations, then do we blame it on Bush and Republicans? See how this blame game can turn around and blow up in a sloppy reporter's face?
I've got a suggestion, how about we all get behind President Bush in his efforts against terrorism, as Gore has done, and stop pointing fingers. Blaming everything on Gore is not going to stop Bin Laden and the terrorist network.

I'm glad you brought this thread back to life, resurrected this important topic, as it were. Has katie couric reported on this yet? Chris Matthews? Perhaps Danny (oh gag me) Rather?? LOL.

It is my belief that this information needs to be shouted from the rooftops, even now. It never did make the mainstream press that I am aware of.....it hurts to think that al gore and others on that commission were so willing to forsake safety for money and to minimize implementation of new regulations for the airlines. It is a crime that a memo about how to 'work over' (my words) Ms. Cummock, the one dissenting vote on the commission, that al gore lied about the report being unanimous and that NOTHING WAS DONE as NO TIMETABLE was ever mandated. This remains a crime. It is really NOT about hindsight, it is about NEGLECT and failure to protect passengers, about shaking down companies in return for looking the other way and PRETENDING something was done and it is about al gore's willingness to go along to get along. No WONDER clinton chose him as his VP, he knew al gore walked the steps of an unprincipled, unethical man. A man clinton knew wanted the WH maybe even more than he had, and a man who would be willing do to ANYTHING for money (not just the airline payoff, but chinagate, etc.) Just like billy dale was all you ever really needed to know about how low the clintons were willing to go to get their way, al gore's treatment of his renter back on the multi-million dollar family farm in Tennessee is all ya ever need to know about al gore. These are FILTHY people.

Clinton and Gore are just like the dogshit you step in. Even after you think you have cleaned off your shoe the smell is still there and gets worse when you relax and take a moment for rest.
