Hi palo - I was just out back petting the dogs, then I had to wash a gallon of dog slobber off of my hands and arms *L*

Darlin'. I didn't post on the TWA thread, it was active just a few minutes ago. I think the thread title has the words TWA 800 and bombing in it.

You might think that WestMex would show up to chat...I just love to talk to WWII Vets. In fact...I will tell you a secret. Well, it might be a morbid subject to some...but so be it. This wonderful lady in our area started a group of ladies to mourn at gravesite burials of WWII vets. Seems she was visiting the gravesite of a loved one and witnessed a dismal sight. A veteran was being buried...all alone except for two funeral home directors. When she questioned them, they said that he had no known family and was in a nursing home when he died. She cried and then got busy. One of her friends told her of an organization that reqruited members to be present for our vets, so that they would not be buried alone and unloved. She did not even contact that organization, but did it locally. I am proud and sad when I get a call to honor the veterans of WWII, always.

Take your meds, palo. Then you'll hit the correct button. heheh.

I'm finishing a smoke and a beer (my meds), then I'm going to hit the hay.

A Wild Ride

As a senior citizen was driving down the freeway, his car phone rang. Answering, he heard his wife's voice urgently warning him, "Henry, I just heard on the news that there's a car going the wrong way on the Interstate. Please be careful!"

"It's not just one car," said Henry. "It's hundreds of them!"

Old Folks Honeymoon

Two elderly gentlemen were having coffee in the resort hotel the morning after their double wedding to their respective elderly wives. Marvin said with concern, "I'll have to see a doctor when I get home. I couldn't consummate my marriage last night."

"Well, really," says Maurice. "I better see a therapist then -- I didn't even think of it!"
