Unbelievable as it seems, the author is actually a professor at Columbia University in New York. But even he is indignant and appalled at the traitorous new "peace" activists. Maybe there is still hope for this country!

There is something I have to say. No matter what kinds of policies our nation has engaged in, no matter what anyone in this country, or anywhere in the world thinks about us, there is absolutely nothing this nation could ever have done that would justify the brutal murder of over six thousand innocent civilians. NOTHING!
Anyone who could think differently has no concept of decency or honor, or the value of human life. They are just as uncivilized as the terrorists themselves.

"...the new self-proclaimed peaceniks are anti-American cultural warriors willing to sink to unimaginable moral equivalencies."

Can you say, "Jane Fonda"?! How 'bout "Barbra Streisand"?! Alec Baldwin?! Ed Asner?! How many other strident, anti-American Socialists do we have out there in Hollywood?! I'd say 85%-90%!!

Thanks, my FRiend...MUD

Just as America must fight a "new kind of war," so it must deal with a new kind of peace movement, one that blames American foreign policy for the recent terrorist attack

The U.S. government has at times messed up. It has done some bad things. It has made mistakes. It has donemisguided or expedient things. In the case of one recent President it did some things that would clearly qualify as war-crimes if done by others. None of this has anything to do with Osama bin Ladin and his cult. He is angry because we are, and further angry because we set foot on the "sacred soil" of Saudi Arabia. It did not matter why we did so - only that we did.

It also would not matter even if we did indeed deserve it - the attack simply cannot be permitted to stand.

Since when was this country's hope pinned on stifling dissent? There is nothing patriotic about waging war, without a formal declaration, on one of the poorest countries on earth in the vain hope that one will root out terrorism. The only thing rooted out will be the lives of thousands of innocent suffering people who will be suffering more or will be dead. These innocents have never heard of Bin Laden, or Bush, or WTC. They will be boys, and girls, and grandmothers, and grandfathers. And they will provide the fuel for more terrorist attacks. This war which is being planned is trap being sprung by those who wish a holy war on the U.S. And most Americans are too blind to see it.

Those who opposed U.S. military action in the past questioned the right of America to protect its interests in other countries.

Right off the bat, our only legitimate interest in other countries should be to set up democratic republics like our own, which can grow on their own, so that all the world's refugees don't want to come here! We are among the few countries that have individual liberties.

Why haven't we been exporting THAT? Until we do that, there will be no peace. ( And even after that, because some people are so fanatical that they will hate us no matter what we do.)

NO.1 Bus these wimpy peaceniks into Ground Zero and let them help with the recovery. No.2. let them look into the eyes of the Firemen and Policemen who have lost in some cases as much as an entire station or division and then tell them their loved ones dying are not worth fighting for. No.3 Attend a seminar given By Benjamin Netanayhu about what it is like to live in a "terrorist state". No.4 If they are still unable to grasp the situation or reality ; please have them hijacked and sent to Afghanistan

I hear on the news national and local at least 5 times a day the statement...."no more killing of innocent victims"....blah blah blah. The movement starts right at our news desks.
I'm afraid that the brainwashing will only get worse as time goes on, I am rarely hearing any support for our troops or our leaders anymore.

The intelligensia have a lust for power and see the attack on America (and all future attacks) as a means for achieving this. Our children are not safe and these intelligensia call down more attacks! I left the left 20 years ago when I heard one of these intellectuals on Pacifica Radio calling on Russia or the People's Republic to nuke America the evil.

Nobody Ever Said the Loony Left Was Smart

Pretty clear that the CAL Berkeley crowd and various other University "thinkers" bent on attempting to ignore realitiy for the sake of inane theories- the heart of the derivation of the loony left in this nation- has an keen aptitude for delusion to the degree that the military leader of Afghanistan has announced that the Afghans are going to win a "holy war' with 300,000 of their own Afghani protesters.

The anti-war proffers in our country- who really can be more accurately described as people that are generally unwilling to lay down their life to protect innocent citizens and could care less that 6700 plus people were killed by violent means on 9-11-01, should be the first to volunteer for the Afghans on suicide missions- afterall, if your philosophy is that it doesn't matter that you are being attacked by violent means and you believe that you shouldn't take real measures to stop innocent people from further and certain pain and violence, then you might as well join the terror lunatics in their jihad- because - you have already made the decision, if you carry the loony left's anti-war baloney to its logical conclusion, that you would allow violence to reign for the sake of some inane principle of non-violence.

The loony left ultimately believes that you and I should allow a violent terrorist network to kill people and we should not protect ourselves using force- because the anti-war people are afterall- against use of force, which obviosly leads to an end- the jihad wins by violence. I never said the loony left wasn't short-sighted either.

Pretty stupid professers really. More precisely though- the anti-war basketcases' delusional principle is, in my view, wholly and completely selfish- these nuts literally believe that NOTHING, including the killing of you and me by lunatic terrorists, is worth 'fighting against'.

The anti-war deluded believe that their 'principle' in fact requires that you and I sacrifice our lives for the sake of their farcical philosophy- and that- dear friends is no different than what the crazies in Afghanistan ask their people to do- commit suicide.

So, I have a proposition for 'Obi-dull-brain', leader of the purported Afghan "military forces" (otherwise know as protesters) and the loony left. Have Obi strap a bomb to his loins and run into a crowd of war-protesters. The two philosphies will meet in perfect harmony for the sake of their delusional principles and the rest of us can observe these absolute mental cases reduce their numbers for the sake of an erroneous principle that does no more than 1). cause innocent people to be killed, and 2). cause more innocent people to be killed.

The anti-war philosophy is nothing more than a suicide mission based on incorrect presumptions of the way the world really operates by ignoring the reality that there exist people in the world who perpetrate proactive violence upon innocent victims. So, if you ignore that reality, it provides a selfish cave of excuses for those who feel their life is more important than taking community efforts to save the village, so to speak, from further death and pain.

The anti-war protester does nothing more than tell you that in the event of an attack upon the village, they'd be the first to run- out of pure selfishness, and as they ran, turn back to you and say, "now don't hit back, it's not right, but spare my right to tell you that and I'll be back when you're done saving my ass- hope you make it out alive. I'm outta here"

Pure unadulterated selfishness.
