Good one, Gerry. Bookmarked.

Hugh,
This might just be a coincidence, but it appears that at least two of the websites you mentioned have been recently taken by the same individual...

Interesting. I'm assuming that the contact is in Korea, yet they give a company name with a P.O. Box address in Texas. Also, the Korean address looks highly suspicious. The zip code of Kyungnam Korea is 621-840, not 12345 (pretty uncreative). The international code for dialing Korea is 805. I have no idea what that phone number contact is supposed to be. Also, the sites were registered with a hotmail email account.
All in all, this doesn't pass the sniff test if you ask me. Thought you'd like to know.

In 1979, the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. The Soviets did so for a number of reasons. They feared Islam as a threat, since communism insists on a lack of religion. The Soviets also desired a warm water port on the Indian Ocean; the Soviet Union had no seaports that were ice-free, year round.Dear Mr. Daly, Afghanistan is landlocked. Other than this nitpick, nice article!

Check this out. And can you
believe we were suspicious of this guy 'way back when' when he first showed up at FR? HA!
Nice writing, Gerry.

Excellent post! Thank you.

Hmmm.
"august11horror.com" I wonder if this indicates, like the September 29 date, that other dates were given serious consideration. I wonder when September 11 was chosen, and how the choice was communicated to all the hijacker cells.
I wonder how the people who shorted airline and insurance stocks could be sure enough by Sept. 5 to bet money on it.

Right on Hugh and I have warned about these commies for months. I was happy when it was cancelled and then I found it spreading all over the rats nest about protesting the War instead. Same fools just a quick turn around and they had a new cause or did they?

I guess by plundering and theft he means purchase of petroleum. Petroleum is only considered to be wealth because it is worth something, and it is worth something only because there is a use for it, and there is a use for it only because of Western technology and economies of scale. Hmmm, let's see, if the world's largest and most productive economy no longer purchases all that petroleum "wealth", what is Osama and his buds going to do with it? Oil wrestling? The degree to which we and others can do without oil from Muslim-controlled nations is the degree to which their petroleum will lose value. Of course, Osama would then just bitch that our inventiveness has robbed them yet again. Well, okay. It's now the time to screw him and his confederates in every possible way.

The Soviets also desired a warm water port on the Indian Ocean. While this statement is probably correct, it cannot be a direct "reason" for invading Afghanistan (as your sentence suggests), since Afghanistan is land-locked. Ed.
This is superior work, please don't take my criticism personally.

I just finished. Fantastic.

Good work! Thanks for compiling, writing, and posting this.
Wednesday, Michael Medved had a Sarah Sloan from ANSWER on his show...she sounded as though she was 14, spewing Marxist party line hatred nonstop like a windup toy that doesn't run down. She even claimed that the US did NOT fight Nazis during WW2. Medved called her "scum" twice. He was furious. It's useful to hear these people, I believe, to understand how very crazy -- and dedicated -- they are.
Crazy + Dedicated = Dangerous
