What's going on with the fonts?

Posted on 09/27/2001 3:52:09 PM PDT by steveegg

What happened to the fonts around here? Seems when I look at responses, things are blockquoted and in an odd font.

Yup, it took me forever to get FR looking like I want it to and I'm not letting anything mess it up! :o)

it allows you to highlight any part of a web page and view partial source for that section only. Gives you a new option in your right click menu to view the partial source.

yeah, but have you stopped to consider that if the frammistan is broken then the reytinger connection will be redirected to the frappermeister oscillating between the two fonts?

No, it simply deletes the temporary files that IE stores to make page loading easier.

One thing I forgot about IE 6, it'll ask you if you want to also delete all content stored on your drive. Leave that box unchecked.

I think I've tried to download that before and it doesn't work for me. I am working on a PC using IE through a Novell server. I can't even figure out which version of IE I have. It keeps coming up Novell Netware and refuses to give me any more info.

On my home computer I use AOL and I didn't seem to be able to download your gadget either. Perhaps I just don't know how to do it. I'd love to have the ability to view a partial source.

Well, I've tried everything you suggested and I still have the new font. I'm going to close this out for now, and I'll check in on my home computer and see if your suggestions work there.

Please teach me how to customize my style sheet too, John.

Is there any way to show the first 25,50 or 100 words of responses on Self-Searches (to avoid long download file to see short comment at the end of big threads). Please!!! This will save mucho time and BANDWIDTH.

Glad to see you are always trying to improve FR.

How did you do that?

Well, the first line was by putting Italics on and then putting a "color" on it (in the "tags"). The next one was using the center tag. The next was using blockquote and the next paragraph was a second set of blockquotes

And then the last paragraph was just a normal paragraph.

I just wanted to see what it would do.

I made a few changes to the software. I'm wrapping all text in a pair of blockquotes, and am experimenting with the new font.

Say, in using the tag --

-- BASE HREF="http://www.some-web-site.com" --

it worked before, and it was helpful keeping the tags linking right to the way an original web page was set up. But now it won't work. Is it possible to get it to work -- so that all the URLs don't have to be "hard-coded" in to make them work?
