I have read this entire thread and I have to say that BOTH of you ladies behaved admirably. Some of *us* on here wouldn't have been able to maintain the decorum for this many posts, myself at the head of the list. :-)

I've known coteblanche for a long time.

I've read and reread this thread and have come to the conclusion that I was wrong not to join in when it was 'live'.

I'll say now what I thought about saying then....

I'm positive that 'cote' meant nothing more by her comment.. "I believe Hillary was sincere"...than her honest feeling at the time. Cote is not a person who's easily fooled.

I know where you ladies were coming from about Hillary was just trying to fool the public. I agree.

What I don't agree with, and should have said at the time is....cote shouldn't have been castigated for her honesty.

Cote responded with some castigation of her own which I think was understandable. Being flamed by over 300 people can be quite devastating.

Thank you for that. Juliernr21 obviously thinks differently, and thinks the reason I have been fooled is because we Canadians can't figure these complicated matters out.

I don't really want to rehash this again. Julie and I dealt with it, but I am sure it is too tiresome to wade through this whole thread and I am guessing you didn't see those comments.

Although ST.LOUIE1 didn't mention my name coteblanche has reposted some of my quotes. She has stated that didn't she "really want to rehash this again" and neither do I but I would like to set the record straight for ALL.....I was NOT questioning cote's intelligence in her viewing Hitlery as sincere.....I regret my use of the word 'fooled' which I now realize cote viewed as questioning her 'intelligence'. That was not my intention.

After seeing Hitlery's behavior at the Memorial Service at the National Cathedral and at the President's speech before Congress, many on this thread, including myself, felt that her actions spoke much louder than her words of praise for President Bush.

I brought up the fact that cote is a Canadian ONLY because I believe that those of us who have lived for the past 8 years under Hitlery as 'co-president' have greater concern that her political ambition will lead her to run for president someday.

As I stated previously I admire, respect and enjoy visiting our Canadian neighbors and my statement was not intended to in any to insult. If anyone has taken offense....I apologize.
