I think on the killing stakes we win hands down, but I think we have learnt from it, well better military tactics anyway.

The Taliban will try to kill anyone who threatens their little military junta. They are a group of fascist thugs hiding behind God, and they'll get theirs.

In the meantime, keep in mind, they're not gonna be around much longer. The Taliban signed its own death warrant when it refused to hand over bin Laden and shut down al-Qaeda. bin Laden, for his part, signed his warrant on Sept. 11. Soon they will all meet their "Allah," in Hell with Mohammed Atta and the rest of their brainwashed terrorist followers.

Bin Laden has said the same thing for years. His 1998 interviews with ABC are on their web site. Those are just a few instances. This country needs to wake up; our leaders will eventually have to change their tune and say it like it is -- ALL Islamic fundamentalists believe it is their duty to kill Americans and Jews. The killing of moderate Muslims just goes along with recruitment for the so-called higher calling of duty.

re : Well...With Holy War our Middle East House Cleaning could be extended to the entire house.

The problem is it is so easy to extend a war but how to halt it afterwards.

There are those on this site who think we should wipe out the Middle East.

I guess if you don’t believe in God and Hell it could be one option, after all if there is no judgement at the end what you can get away with you can get away with, and we do have the means to exterminate the entire population of the Middle East.

And no matter how much you may wish it I don’t think you will get the Western Military to behave like Communists or Nazis. For a start when I die I want to have a clean a slate as possible, and so do many others.

I dont believe that. This is not a war somewhere else anymore. IT is personal. Americans in the Pacific fought as hard as the Japanese because of Peral Harbor. We killed many civilians because they killed many civilians. Same with the bombing of Germany.

Now, the terrorists did it withut a war even being declared openly, they declared war through their tactics. A personal war. One where there will be no quarter on either side except where western cameras are filming western troops, for the Afghanies already are known for no mercy.

This will be a bloody one, one the Muslims started, plain and simple. If they had only left Israel alone, we wouldn't be here.

What if one leaders calls for a Jihad and two say it is wrong. Who wins?

The one with more Kalashnikovs. This is a concept we had better figure out, fast. It may be a minority of Muslims that want to engage in Jihad, but 10-15% of 1.3 billion is a lot of folks. We need to come down on that 10-15% like a ton of bricks. We need the number to be more like 0.0000023%.

I firmly believe in the existence of God. However, I cannot for one minute believe any of the so-called books about him. Folks, we have people lying and writing about things that occurred today. How can we possibly believe that 100% of what was written hundreds or thousands of years after the fact are true? Were the people 100, 200, 500, 1000 etc years ago any less likely to embellish the "truth"? Could they possibly relayed stories with 100% accuracy? Impossible!

Interview 100 people who just witnessed an accident and you will get at least 10 different versions.

Any "God" who supports such mass killings is not a god to be worshiped in my opinion. While such thoughts may condemn me to eternal damnation, I too have a moral compass, which does not allow for killing someone for their beliefs. I don't have a problem killing those who attack me, my family, and my country.

When you can justify your actions based upon a document that was for years passed on by word of mouth then translated by thousands of people into different languages what are the chances you are doing the “right thing”?

"As I've always said, Islam is not a peacful religion. Here's what they believe: God gave the Word to the Jews, the Jews blew it. Then God gave the Word to the Christians, and the Christians blew it. Then God (Allah) came to Mohammad, gave him the truth, and the Muslims are now following holy orders (the Koran) to rid the world of sin. Should they reject Allah's commands, they too will be rebuked by Allah."

This is pretty close to what I understand also from my study of Islam. Muslims do NOT believe that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are co-equal in value or holiness. Islam represents the fulfillment of the two earlier religions. Muslims I am familiar with will offer various inducements to non-Muslims to convert: sometimes money or (to women) jewelry. Muslims do not understand a refusal to accept their truth of Islam's clear superiority over Judaism and Christianity, and they don't take it lightly. Killing those who refuse to accept Islam is quite an extreme step even for Muslims, but it IS underlain by a quite strong assumption that is nearly universal among observant Muslims that Islam is definitely superior to both Judaism and Christianity, and that people who are given the chance should be able to see that and convert to Islam.

My God, woman, will you get off of this already?

You've been carping about this proposed name for over a week now. As far as I can tell, your point is: "if a holy war gets started, it's our fault because we said something to offend the fanatics."

Now, whatever you do, don't say anything in your response that might offend me. I can't be responsible for my actions if you do.
