While I don't know for sure, I suspect you are not of the right race, gender or class to have Ashcroft pay any attention to my complaint about you.
Btw...always enjoy your comments on FR. Once upon a time I had a conceit I had the sickest sense of humor of anyone.

A quick review of every post/reply you have made since you came on board would make one will that you are a Pro Arab Terrorist or a lover of the Arab Terrorist, planted here on Free Republic a little early! Regardless you are piece of garbage on the floor of Free Republic that needs to be shoveled up, placed into a big plastic garbage bag, and thrown into the dumpster!

"was flying around the country like a scared child seeking refuge in his mother's bed after having a nightmare."This kind of writing is OK in peacetime. We are at war and as the President said, "You are either with us or you are against us."

Get real. the owners of a paper have the right to edit whatever and whoever they want, just like the owner of this website.
Or was that an attempt at sarcasm?

P.S. They are both now free to seek employment with the San Francisco Chronicle, where they would be welcomed with open arms and paraded around like heros.
Maybe they can resurrect the "Berkeley Barb".

What about Bob Zelnick at ABC?

I'm a poor old black woman, with a bum leg. If that's not bad enough, I died back in the seventies.

Advertisers are the key. Probably all 5000 people who subscribe to the paper could have written letters of complaint and they would have issued a lukewarm apology.
But when advertisers get PO'd, that gets their attention. Example number one is Bill Maher, who has been camped in that time slot for way too long. ABC started paying attention when FedEx and Sears pulled their ads.
Right now companies are very, very sensitive to loss of revenue, so advertisers will pay attention to complaints. I sent an e-mail to Kenneth Cole Designs for a nasty comment they had on their web site (which was written before September 11.) I had forgotten all about sending them that e-mail, but on September 13 I got a humble letter of apology and a statement that they fully supported the President.
I am all for free speech, but I will not tolerate gratuitous insults of the Commander-in-Chief or the military while we are at war.
I suggest that anyone who wants to make a difference write ADVERTISERS when something is offensive. They ARE paying attention!

If we are to call the on Constitution we must do so in the full context of that document. Screaming "first amendment rights" without acknowledging the free market that the constitution is designed to protect and promote is simplistic and knee-jerk.
These jerks are free to start up a paper, or apply somewhere else and write whatever they like. They are also free to apply for welfare, or starve as the case may be, if the free market rejects their ideas for the empty headed trash that it is.

You've been on a jag about Bush for the last three or four days, ripping him because he hasn't already vaporized a million Arabs.
I've always considered you a reasonable poster, but your sorry attitude of late is noticeable.
Maybe some Metamucil would help.

"Why do so many others have trouble understanding it??"
Maybe because this place didn't sound like that when it was liberal media doing the firing and censoring during a liberal administration.

Um, that may or may not be the case. But how on earth do you infer that from this article?
