I believe that the United States Armed Forces should employ psychological warfare in the current situation in the mideast. Terrorism is, after all, essentially psych-ops. And we are at war.
In war, we should fight to win. And that includes using tactics that will terrorize the enemy.
While it may sound silly or, at the least, strange at first glance, what I propose cuts to the heart of the belief system of our enemies.
While I hold nothing against Islamic people as a whole, the fact that the people who perpetrated the atrocity on 11 September 2001 are radical Islamics is something that is part of the equation, wheteher we like it or not, and as such, their beliefs can be used against them in warfare, if we truly want to win this war and at the same time make sure that no one else will ever again try such depravity on American soil.
I propose that the United States Armed Forces, by whatever means is available - leaflets, radio, word-of-mouth, etc. - notify the Islamic world in the mideast that we are going to use pig fat and other body parts in our weapons.
People of the Islamic faith hold pigs in extreme disregard. I don't think it's farfetched to imagine that the thought of being killed by an American bullet dipped in pig fat would terrorize the terrorists against whom we are waging this war. They may even believe that if they died as a result of such a wound that they would not be able to enter Paradise.
Is the United States government willing to use such psychological warfare? Probably not. And more's the pity, because it would be a POWERFUL weapon against our enemies.
Think about it.

I've got 1/2 inch bullets, dipped in bacon grease ready to be launched from on of these.. Been dipping some of my own, for use in my AR-15 if it ever comes here.
Doesn't have to be every round - just think of them as piggy tracers.

If they're worried about famine in the event of attack, I say we air-drop Spam...

You mean like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the other members of the new Iranian Axis?
Our only Arab "allies" are fat princes who shuttle between desert palaces and Swiss resorts. I'm guessing they'll be spending more time at the latter in the coming years.

That said, I tend to think we shouldn't worry about the sensitivity of any moslem state that doesn't back us 100%. Blow the f***ers up. Yep.

They, and ALL terrorists, need to understand that Americans can be just as ruthless as they are. They view us as fat, dumb and happy, not to mention anathema.
This would change their minds.

This has been done at another time in another place, according to the story which has been repeated here about General Pershing in the Philippines. Today? That's another story. It's inconceivable that today's sensitivity trained multicultural military would ever consider such an idea. We're too advanced, too cultured, see? What is being considered by the gummint geniuses, according to one report I've read, are leaflets promising the populace food stamps, or more generally, a modern welfare state! (I wonder if pictures of the Bronx are included!) Now, don't misunderstand - this is to entice these savages and not, as you and I would think, to threaten them. How's that for psychological warfare?

Use your imagination. Psyops have probably considered things we won't think of in our worst nightmare.
Swine do have their uses.....

And that's why, most likely, tens of thousands of American young men are about to die. We can't play hardball anymore. And if we don't, against this brand of enemy, we WILL lose.

Psyops have probably considered things we won't think of in our worst nightmare. But will the people in command allow those nightmares to be used? I certainly hope so. Myself, if I was in the military, I and all my fellow soldiers would be doing what I suggested.
And to any of the enemy that read this website - you can be assured that America's young men are willing and able to do what I've suggested, whether they get orders to do so or not. Count on it. They get Free Republic too.

I actually would like to test the Pig theory at a local Mosque. Would like to videotape reaction of letting a piglet into the building on a Friday. Hey..if not anything else it would be a riot! Maybe some raw bacon wrapped around car door handles? Jeez... it sounds so harmless to me.

I like it. It'd be cost effective too. We wouldn't actually have to do it, just say we are. They've got half of the US running around scared of biological or chemical warfare and they haven't done anything yet. Just the thought of it is enough to send us running to buy a gas mask. An announcement that US bombs and bullets are lubricated with bacon grease should send them into a panic at least as high as the one we're going through.

Use your imagination. Psyops have probably considered things we won't think of in our worst nightmare.Pigs will eat anything, including terrorist. Flyers dropped depicting pigs consuming terrorists may cause a ruckus in allah land. Then set up a cottage industry selling pig manure to Israeli farmers for fertilizer. We have the technology and funds, do we have the will? Terrorist = Pig $hi+

"Is the United States government willing to use such psychological warfare? Probably not. And more's the pity, because it would be a POWERFUL weapon against our enemies." First of all, if the US did do something like this, they wouldn't "announce" it. Second, it'd be a rumor. Third, you'd never hear about it.
Regards.

Dude! That's nasty!
Don't forget to submit that form in triplicate.

Supposing we did that, I bet the immediate response of the Muslim clerics would be to say that being shot by American bullets dipped in hog fat would not in any way affect your after life and that Allah would in fact be more pleased if you offered yourself up on the sacrifice of faith-that no amount of pork fat would detract from that supreme honor of killing the infidels. Remember that amny, if not most, of the fighters the Taliban employs can not even read the Koran and that their only knowledge of Islam is from these clerics. It would be very simple to discount the affects of your phsyc attack. if we were dealing with a population that coould read and study the Koran for themselves, it might work, but as it is I seriously doubt it.

". . . an American bullet dipped in pig fat . . ."This is standard procedure already. For the sake of the PC crowd, however, it has not been announced publicly. Thank you for bringing it to our attention, sir.
