Yes, I know that this isn't "Breaking News", but I figured that a lot of Freepers would want to know about this foundation established by Lisa Beamer and her family in memory of her courageous husband.
God bless her and her family!

Bump! Excellent site and passed it on to other non-freepers as well. Let's roll on this and get this man's family taken care of.

My desire is that this Foundation honor Todds memory and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by bringing love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control to charitable organizations and causes. Beautiful words. Words that show the spirit of a nation that responds to hatred not with more hatred and blind acts of revenge, but with love, sympathy and a strong commitment to justice.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" - John 15:13 (KJV)
There were at least two other men who were together with Todd Beamer when they "rolled" against the hijackers. One of them had the last name Glick and the other man, I wish I knew his name-Does anyone know?
Beamer's sons will grow up knowing that their father was one of the greatest men who has ever lived on Earth. Our country is blessed by God for giving us the Beamers and the other men whose examples of self sacrifice were out of love and for Jesus Christ. We have a lot to live up to in this country because of their example and their Faith.
I know that day on the plane there was a fourth man with these three men just as there was a fourth man in the firery furnace with Misheck, Shadrack and Abegnigo. The fourth man? He is the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God.
The hijackers had the spirit of Anti-Christ because they were against all that Christ stands for. It is a shame and a waste that they were deceived and did not have the Love and Faith of Jesus Christ in their hearts.
But we rejoice that Beamer, Glick and the others had the greastest love possible for a man to have by laying down their lives just as Our Savior Jesus Christ laid down His life for us and for them. We rejoice in knowing they have received their reward of eternal life with Jesus Christ in the presence of Our Father, God.

Dateline did a story with the wife of Mark Bingham last week... He has three daughters -- 5, 3, and 1... I cried listening to the mother describe how she was telling her daughters that Daddy wasn't coming home again.
One of them asked if they could call him on his cell phone...

Hey the hell can you call a grieving Christian woman Clitonesque?!? You are despicable.
It is a normal process for a grieving spouse to want to continue doing good in the name of their lost loved one... In this case it happens to be a Christian women who supports the ideals that we share here at Free Republic.
Far too often it is a gun-grabber, MADD-mom, etc.
You should be grateful and prayerful for this family... And you should retract what you posted as well.

..... you should retract what you posted as well .....
On the contrary, your personal attack simply reinforces my position -- and confirms my intuitive first reponse insofar as the vulgarity of the timing of this opportunistic, exploitative, Clintonesque, advertising campaign is concerned.

Brian, I suspect she is getting more money in donations than she has a conscience to use and wants to do something useful with it - hence, a memorial to help others whose names we'll never know.

I saw the Dateline special and I think you are referring to Tom Burnett's widow, Deena, who has three daughters.
