Bring Back The Old Guard

It's time to bring back the old guard. During the early years of the Clinton administration (as I recall), 24 senior military officers planned to retire en masse in protest of the clintonista agenda.

They were told that they would be demoted and stripped of all benefits unless they quietly retired over a several month period. In the meantime, slick willy promoted to the highest military commanders of the land "lickspittle lackeys" who would march to his drum.

Now we are faced with a real military dilemma; how do we fight a war against terrorism when the military leadership is a bunch of toadies? Simple: Fire the bastards! Then invite the senior military officers who were mustered out under the clintonista regime to come to the aid of their country. I'm sure that they would volunteer en masse.

Probably a myth. I hate to tell you, but our senior military leaders have always been officers who learned about 'getting ahead by going along' early in their careers.

LTG Richard F. Timmons was the EUSA commander when I arrived in Korea in '95...a born a$$-kicker. He returned from a trip from D.C. and shortly thereafter, announced hi retirment...I always had my suspicions. Likewise, Grange, the commander of 1ID, before Abizaid was another soldier's general...

Bring 'em both back!

Now would be a good time for those who left in protest to confer privately with Sec.Def. Rumsfeld....if they have not already done so.
