A PC Nation Cannot Survive Amoungst A World of Aggressors
Vanity | 10-20-01 | S. Fleming

Posted on 10/20/2001 10:12:17 AM PDT by mercy

Perhaps our nations PC attitudes and actions in this time of war are not what they seem. Maybe our top elected officials (right now I'm not willing to call them leaders) have employed a cover designed to fool the outside world and cover our true objectives. It could be that our actual objective is to buy time while we take control of Afghanistan in order to establish massive forward positions and bases for the 'real war' that is so obviously unavoidable. Islamists world wide are plainly taking over nearly all Muslim countries and World War is their plain objective.

If our present actions ARE disinformation and deceit designed to gain time and position for the necessary massive assaults to come ... I applaud them. I am even willing to absorb the consequences to gain the advantage we must have to fight a war against millions, hundreds of millions, of hostile barbarians now assembling against us and presently prosecuting a terror war possibly to include a war of mass distruction. Those consequences include but are not limited to leaving ourselves open to further massive terror attacks on me and my country. Even if the Islamists (let's no longer call them JUST terrorists) do not have real 'suitcase nukes' they DO have 'dirty nukes'. A dirty nuke is just a bunch of plastique wrapped up in plutonium or other nuclear material. Results equal massive radiation poisoning.

I guess that in order to lull the world, most of which either openly or secretly resents, if not hates us, into momentary inaction our nation is not now taking ordinary common sense actions. Actions like deporting all non citizen Middle Eastern visitors post haste. Not only are we not deporting we are not stopping present infiltration of Islamist terrorists. It looks to me like this is deemed necessary 'for now' by those in control of us for these time buying tactics. I guess our elected officials are afraid that any such common sense actions on our part right now would tip our hand in establishing forward bases in Afghanistan.

OK I can live with this. For a very little while. Even though the chances of the Islamist terrorists killing many MORE thousands of us in the near or not so near future are around one hundred percent.

But all of this is just wishful thinking I am pretty near sure.I think the actual reality is that Political Correctness is become the death of us. What IS PC really when practiced in the face of international aggression prosecuted by an organised multi-national coalition of professional killers? It's just plain ole cowardice. That's all it is.

PC used to be just about cultural disagreements and common arguements about philosophy and mores. It had some validity when discussing affirmative action or gay marriage. It has no validity when it assumes the fore in an effort at plain geo-political survival. Geo-political ascendence, or position jockying ....? ok. Politics and diplomacy are all right when you're trying to remain a nation of nice guys and prove it to the world. Though it is a losing game on that level as well.

But now PCness is suicide. A plain and simple death wish. If we and our elected officials have let PCness be our banner now, with the assembled masses of the Islamist killers at our throats, and it is not just a momentary cover, it is DENIAL practiced on a cosmic scale.

I am going to add one more thought that I DO NOT ADVOCATE but is a real possibility. If our ELECTED officials are not willing to perform the FIRST duty of an oganised society ... that is: Do what is plainly necessary to insure a common defense. Then I am sure there are still many members of the military who ARE willing. IF this gets just a little worse and our controllers continue waffling and failing in the face of the enemy ... our very Republic is in danger for the people will not go quietly. The military WILL be turned loose. I just hope they took that oath to the Constitution serriously and will reestablish the Republic after the war.

and All (I hate that 'all' is no longer allowed)

Well I must leave you all now to return to the less real world of field mowing, brush clearance, killer bee erradication and pool maintenance (oh how I rue the day I ever built that thing). I'll be bock!

You HAVE GOT TO GET IN THE FACE of ANYBODY or ANYTHING PC. Shout it down, knock it down, beat it down ... cause if we let it show it's ugly head again WE WILL ultimately lose.

Very sober advice for us all. PC is the means of the socialists to control our country...into oblivion.

Thank you for your kind reply. The face of the Corporation changes slightly with whom ever is at it's head at the moment. President Bush is a corporate executive with some true patriotism to him. His speech, just delievered in China though indicates he is very much the corporate executive.

I cannot go to bed on 9/10 worried about the direction our nation is heading, and wake up to 9/11 thinking that all of a sudden, we as a nation, are all headed in the same direction and with the same goals. At present our goals are mutual survival, we are doing more to insure the Corporations survival than they are doing about insuring ours, as evidenced by our still open borders and insane 30 million visa's of one kind and another issued.

The Corporation will only apply the lightest bandaid unless we raise a huge fuss about them not living up to their end of the mutual survival endeavor.

thanks for your kind invitation, mercy. for the most part, i agree with your theme.

i have little to add to this thread, having read oldngray’s analysis. well put, sir.
i might say that you both seem to be a touch more optimistic than i.

we have everything to lose, our enemy has nothing. that makes for a very dangerous
and determined foe, and yes, they are here among us.
as long as we are comfy, and allow our enemies free reign, they will take whatever
they can. mercy, i don’t share your opinion that this is a stall or ruse... our government is
not that organized or directed, yet. it is still in kneejerk mode. at least, it is
jerking in good directions. sadly, i fear that we will become very, well, uncomfortable
before the steps needed are taken.

pray it won’t be too late.

is pc dead? is it a hate crime to shoot the raghead or camel jockey, as opposed to
shooting the “alleged hijacker?” if and when reality sinks in, or literally hits home,
pc will be irrelevant.

shoot straight. shoot safe. practice. carry.

I am anything but a libertarian, WRhine ... SEND THEM ALL BACK who are NOT legally here ... whose Visas have expired ... whose tourist Visas have expired ... whose work Visas have expired ... send them all back ...

This does not go far enough considering there are vast numbers of terrorists here who are in fact LEGAL! And AGAIN, the U.S. Government has the RIGHT to deport ANY visitor at ANY time for a MULTITUDE of reasons, National Security being paramount. I am sorry if this has a deleterious effect on your business but in times of war, national security trumps ALL other interests. And if you don't think that Muslim terrorists are waging war against Americans within our own borders and relying on our political correctness to keep us vulnerable to their attacks I question your sensibilities and judgement.

I am after trying to be as fair to you, sir as I am able ... and I will point out that your replies to me are loaded with so very many presumptions as to make them invalid... surely not your goal.

At no point whatsoever ~~~~ and, BTW, if someone could explain to me why that is all one word, I would be grateful ... but I digress~~~

... did I lament that my business has suffered deleterious effects ... the comment insults and implies a lack of Patriotism which appalls.

Quite the contrary .... I take care of my own ... share what knowledge I have to the appropriate authorities ... do what I need to do ...learn what I need to learn and operate within the confines of our Constitution ... a mission we would all be well advised to undertake.

This is not the time to use hyperbolic rhetoric ... now is the time for vigilant commonsense ... not agitated speculation and hysterical searches for treasonous sweaty dirt-bags ... they are here ... no doubt ... but to find them we need steel-eyed vision ... this is not a time to prove old points made or stated. It's a time to put down the attitude and rise to the cause ....

We need to be cold in our deliberations ... prepared to take the steps required ... and stop lecturing to the choir.

Lock and load ... but verify ....

mercy ... what did I get myself involved in, here?! *grins*

I like having my construction projects completed and my lawn mowed.

Sorry mercy, you can't have your cake and eat it too!

An illegal immigrant is an illegal immigrant. It doesn't matter from which foreign country they came. You want to have work done without doing it yourself, hire a contractor or someone who is in the country legally on a regular basis.

Now the fact that doing so might cost you something monetarily should be beside the point. Hiring illegal workers at a lower wage scale without having to pay social security taxes or a contract price below the norm is what is PC.

I thought you were arguing against that.

Cut the phony British accent of your meandering prose and get to the point. I take it, by your silence to just about all my points, that you now admit that the U.S. Government has the unrestricted Constitutional power to deport any "guests" residing in the U.S. for a multitude of reasons, national security being one of them. This was the original point of contention to begin with until you started talking about your personal life.

Hey I said we needed 'a guest worker program'. By this I mean a legal construct allowing for QUALIFIED workers to come in under strong supervisions and requirements. I guess I didn't make myself clear. I always hire licensed and insured contractors. I don't want my life sued out from under me. Most contractors here in the SW hire a lot of guest workers. Some legal some not. That's HIS job to insure their legal status and I make that clear from the get go.

Sowwy. The HAWKS are in no mood to brook even a semblance or suspicion of anything less than a 'kill em all and let God sort em out' attitude. Not that you were rightly jumped on. He just doesn't apprecieate your poet's soul. I do. Be well. Be safe. Be dead on the mark.

I can not argue with you. Wonder if the Founding Fathers ever even considered the ramifications of 10,000 multinational corporations turned loose upon the world with no allegience to anything but profit? Probably not. Look up for your redemption draweth nigh.

They should be considered a nation. Their terrorism is just assemetrical warfare and this effort of ours MUST be a war on their nation.

Of course your point here is that Islam should be considered a nation. If and when you are in the position of separating and codifying the nations perhaps your opinion will carry some weight. At the present it is simply your opinion and you have every right to express it. However, we would not be justified in forming national policy based upon your individual opinion.

What you are suggesting is that the US declare war on the nation of Islam when in fact there is no such nation. If you listened to President Bush and others in the current administration they very definitively addressed the fact that the enemy is very ill-defined. At this particular point in history the enemy has been defined as Bin Laden's organization which is spread around the world in more than 36 nations according to my best recollection.

I am not naive enough to believe that there are not many who follow the prophet (sp??) who agree with the thoughts and ideals as put forth by Bin Laden and his ilk. On the other hand there are very many who condemn his actions vociferously.

Who as individuals or what groups of Moslem believers would you include in your war against this fictitious nation? My personal belief is that the founder of this religion was a false prophet. I base my beliefs on what I consider to be the Word of the Living God, the Bible. I cannot find any passage in the Bible that commands, urges, infers or suggests that I go to war with unbelievers. Rather, I am told to let the Light of Christ so shine in my life that men will see my good works and glorify my Father who is in Heaven.

I shall not go to war with all Islam. When I am attacked because of my belief in the Lord Jesus Christ I am told to turn my other cheek and allow my attacker to hit me there also for they are then doing as the Lord told the apostle Paul "you are kicking against the goads".

On the other hand, when and if Islam attacks the US for reasons other than Christianity I shall gladly and willingly ferociously fight for the principles of freedom. I have done it before and herewith publicly proclaim to do so again.

In my opinion, the US has not yet been attacked because of the many Christians in this nation. There are far more unbelievers in the country than believers. It is my belief that the United States has been attacked because of the freedom and luxurious life style it portrays. I don't believe in living luxuriously but I'll defend to death the right of one who can do so legitimately.

Having said all that, it is my opinion that there are many actions we should take, individually and as a nation, to prevent to as great an extent as possible, further deterioration of the lawlessness rampant in the US today.

Cut the phony Brittish accent ...

It's Irish .... and not phony and comes out when I feel passionate about something ...

I see you are not a very nice person ... which is fine ... if I were a member of an unruly gang. Happily, I am not.

However ... you seem, also, to be unprincipled ... hurling vindictives hither and thither while you hope your accusations ~~~ unwarrented, unworthy, unrelated ... add weight to your words ... which they do not.

I find myself very happy that I have not met you before ... that I will not meet you again ... and that you are in my rear view mirror ...

God Bless America ... for surely She needs it ... you go bud .... hurl 'em all about ... even at your own ...that'll solve it ...

Where's the IRA when I need it?! ... kidding, maybe .... of course ...

I believe you though we are really up against it as pertains to 'getting over the hump'. We rocketed half way up the mountain because of 9/11. Having our people and THE UNITED STATES CAPITOL attacked with Bilogical weapons of mass distruction seems not to have pushed the sled any further up the slope.

We should have had a Presidential speech mentioning a considered nuclear attack in response to such infamy by now. Instead, in fact PC bull$hit has been making a rather notable comeback in recent days. If the Islamists pull off another mass attack I am doubtfull if even THIS will get us over that hump. I tremble to think what will.

Nope. My posts made my position pretty clear. I have talked about the emerging nation of united Islamists. This is one of the names the people we call islamic religious extremists, or terrorists call themselves.

On page XXXiii of Yossef Bodansky's book on OBL and terror orgs in general, between the intro and the main body of the book, he lists fifteen well established and funded islamist terrorist organizations.

He also does an admirable job of detailing how strong and how long standing this network is and where it plans to go. He also make it clear that the nation of Iran is the premier state sponsor of terrorism and practices it as state policy at the highest level.

Iran is the main distributor of Saudi Arabian cash to all the orgs. OBL is obedient to his Iranian masters in the main although I think he is now a prince of terror in his own right. Maybe a king. Bodansky also makes it clear that Sudan practices terrorism as state policy.

I'm not really advocating a religious war. I am advocating that we have been attacked by the equivalent of an Islamist nation in a religious cause. Their religious cause. This nation I speak of is not now united in geology. But it soon will be.

Your posts are so thought provoking and measured it takes me a while to respond and so I do so in more than one reply post.

****At this particular point in history the enemy has been defined as Bin Laden's organization which is spread around the world in more than 36 nations according to my best recollection.****

Yes, this is our focal point, however I am convinced that this is just the single step beginning a long journey and that this is also President Bush's belief. OBL is no more than a convienent focus point for the moment. I don't even think we will get him any time soon.

Any nation that aids or abetts terrorism against the US shall be considered a terrorist nation. That's the Bush doctrine. He better stick with it because it is the only way to succeed. Our present actions can only increase the number and severity of the terrorist attacks. Yet what we now do is all that we CAN do untill we can get massive military troop buildups and machinery into place.

Heretofore unknown levels of violence on a scale unimmaginable to all but the most experienced military mind ... must be unleashed on what you call my 'immaginary islamist state'. Where to drop the bombs? Where to invade? Believe me our government operatives know where. Exactly where. I just don't think we as a nation can muster the will and the courage.

Only horrific FORCE will deter these people from their jihad. They are on a holy crusade. If we do not stop them ASAP it will not be just a few 'dirty nukes' or some truck bombs. It will be aerosol burst bio-loaded missiles over European cities and constant terror attacks of every description here in the US.
