There is also nothing in the Bible that grants women equal rights as well. In fact, the Bible encourages women to keep silent and obey their husbands.

One major difference. We don't turn it into laws and beat women who don't follow the law.

Christians, through witnessing and missionary travels, DO wish to convert everybody to Christianity.

Christians cannot convert anyone. Only God can do that. Christians spread the Gospel, not convert people.

Only now. Rule of thumb anybody? There was a law that said you couldn't beat your wife with a stick rounder than your thumb.

Christians cannot convert anyone. Only God can do that. Christians spread the Gospel, not convert people.

I know this. You know this. But I was raised in the Bible belt, and those who were not Christians (i.e. went to church on Sunday) were badmouthed as unbeleivers.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that while we look at Islam, we should also take a look at the other side of the coin.
