Should Conservatives Support Rudeness? Why booing Senator Clinton is beneath us.
self

Posted on 10/23/2001 1:51:57 PM PDT by watsonfellow

First of all, to prevent the flamings, I should say that I am a strong conservative, and my number one issue is the life issue and so I am not at all a supporter of the Clintons etc.

That being said, I thought it the height of rudeness for these firemen and policemen to boo and yell at the Senator this weekend. It lacked dignity and class. I thought we conservatives were supposed to stand for such things, or perhaps this is just what we say, but do not practice.

I wonder what Burke et al would have said about this conservative embrace of very questionable manners.

The policemen and firemen should have just done nothing when she appeared on stage, no clapping, no booing, the silence would have expressed the same thing, but in a much more dignified way.

Close, although the El Camino de Santiago was quite difficult, especially the route from St. Jean Pied de Port to Roncavalles, climbing the Pyrannes is no fun, especially not in one day!

Conservatives have been reticent for TOO long. This has only allowed the filthy liberals to do and get away with whatever they want.

Silence is golden accept when your fighting filthy liberal scum, in order to win you have to yell louder and longer. It's time to let the world SEE and HEAR how ANGRY we are about what has gone on in this country for way TOO long.

If those conservatives down in Florida had NOT protested we'd have Thee Algore as President.

The power the filthy liberals enjoy came from their willingness to yell and scream at a moments notice. NOW IT'S OUR TIME TO YELL AND SCREAM!

I will believe that she was there representing the People and State of New York (NO SHE WAS THERE REPRESENTING HERSELF, AS ALWAYS) ....perhaps she was not, and perhaps I am too naiive, (PERHAPS,PERHAPS) but still, I will give her the benefit of the doubt.(I TAKE BACK THAT PERHAPS) If this offends people then so be it. (IF, IF!? HAVE YOU BEEN READING THIS THREAD?) I am no friend of hers, and daily I pray that she and her family will have a change of heart and strive to protect the millions of babies killed each year in the name of "choice", (SAVE YOUR PRAYERS, SHE IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE HER HEART, IF SHE HAS ONE, SO JUST FAGETAGOUTIT) but I believe her simply to be misguided and not evil. (I AM AFRAID THAT YOU ARE THE MISGUIDED ONE. DO SOME READING. START WITH BARBARA OLSON'S BOOK "HELL TO PAY".)

Have a nice day.

I was glad to see it. I've suspected that vote fraud had quite a bit to do with Hillary's election margin so to learn what the working people and the heroes at that think of her was valuable to those of us who live in flyover country.

While you have been idly "traipsing" through Europe these past few weeks, the firefighters and family members (of victims) in Madison Square Garden have been digging through rubble and dealing with the loss of loved ones. They have earned the right to boo and be rude to a selfish, clutching, shrewish woman who has done nothing worthwhile in her petty life but to ride her husband's coattails to the top of the political world, stepping and crushing anybody who would get in her way. All for the purpose of getting in position to further her socialist, marxist agenda upon the United States of America (while feathering her own nest along the way). The woman is poison.

For the past eight years, we have seen Hillary use the power of the presidency (through her husband) to shield herself from real people and to live in a bubble where she can further her agenda without having to endure public scrutiny.

Well now that her husband is just a pathetic layabout and she is just the junior senator from New York, Hillary must now for the first time in her life be held accountable for her actions and to face people who were not hand-picked beforehand by staffers. When she got in front of the crowd at Madison Square Garden, she was facing real people and not flacks and lackeys. The reception she got that night was the same reception she would get from 90% of the rest of America and it was a beautiful thing to behold.

In a way, I am happy that Hillary was able to squeak out a win last November and take the senate seat. Otherwise, she would be in obscurity, plotting out her next move for 2004 or 2008. After four or eight years of being out of the public eye, chances were that Hillary would have been able to reinvent herself. Instead, she is a public official, front and center in a time of great crisis and she has failed miserably. Even her own previously clueless constituents now see her for what she really is. And any hope at all of a presidential run has been permanently extinguished.

I was proud to be an American the night Hillary was booed off the stage at Madison Square Garden. It was the happiest moment I have had since the events of 9/11. I only wish I could have been there myself to join in the chorus.

Speaking of happy moments, I just had another one today when I saw Fox News briefly cover the O.J. trial. This murdering scumbag is now on trial for road rage or something like that. The beauty of this is that if convicted, O.J. faces some serious jail time. As much as 16 years. And on this go-around, it is a total non-event, barely mentioned in the news except in passing. The media is treating O.J. as the common criminal dirtbag he is. If O.J. is convicted, I will be almost as happy as I was when Hillary got booed off the stage at Madison Square Garden. Even if he "only" gets a couple of years. This piece of human garbage will probably get murdered in prison because the prison guards will be too busy looking the other way or buried in a newspaper to see what might happen to him.

Hillary and O.J. are symbolic of the 1990s, a decade of unparalled decadence. It is great to finally see them getting their due.

Stoning would be so much more appropriate than simply booing.

Nonsense. She would only perceive the silence as reverence. She deserves to be booed loudly every day of her miserable life. Booooo!

I just had a mental chat with St. Thomas and he said that just this once it was ok if conservatives sided with the booers. Actually, I was impressed with the restraint of the New Yorkers, God help Hillery if they really let go!

Climbing? How terribly uncouth. I am talking about TRAIPSING. And I'll have you know that my knowledge of traipsing is quite extensive. I learned it from the experts while teaching Latin to the Traipsist Monks.

Such behavior may not have been nice or classy, but I sure enjoyed it. There is no one, other than Bill himself, who deserved it more. I kept watching it over and over and enjoyed it more and more each time. Her pathetic, monotone voice attempting to be heard over the boohs. Wonderful. It is all we get, after all, she is a Senator, she votes on the laws that govern each one of us and we have to watch her on tv all the time. That is enough of a reason for me.

The booing is about the only sound that would reverberate in Hillary's famous tin ear. Now she knows that she is not universally adored. If burning our flag is construed as free speech, then surely a chorus of boos to reflect honest feelings is appropriate.

Then explain to me what would have been a classy way to voice disapproval? HINT: You won't be able to. The B*tch is too damn polarising. She hates the cops, the firefighters, the military, the secret service -- she rushes past security checkpoints because she's better than everyone else -- she tries to tag herself onto Guilliani's popularlity -- she's pure evil.

She's not a strong woman, she's a blood sucker - Barbara Olson, Condi Rice are examples of strong women. B*tch Hillary gives womankind a bad name.

So what's a classy way to boo the B*tch? There isn't one.

The only thing that would've been better than all those boos would've been five thousand pissed-off people chanting "MONICA! MONICA! MONICA!" at the top of their lungs.

PS: Compton? COMPTON? You're going to teach in COMPTON? Better watch yo' bizack, boooyyyyyy...

From this poster's bio, they are a recent college graduate. Most likely, that would've made him/her 13 years old when the Clintons assumed the throne.

Aha! Chelsea's roommate did this!

No! No! I taught Latin to the Traipsist Monks, NOT the Traipist Monks. The two Monk groups have been feuding ever since the 6th Century and consider each other to be heretics. The Traipsist Monks consider the Essence AND the Spirit to be One while the Traipist Monks consider the Essence OR the Spirit to be One. Quite a huge difference there.

I don't like being in the position to defend Hillary, but I agree with you. She has been verbally supportive (even very supportive) of W, sincere or not I'm grateful for that.

OH PLLLEEAAASE, she is only supportive because the man has a 90% approval rating. She only supportive because the cameras are on, but when she doesn't know the cameras are on she rolls her eyes and sighs. I can't believe that you believe the crap she is throwing out.
