A couple of thoughts...

While they'd really rather not take bin Laden prisoner, they wouldn't mind a body. Same with Hayman al-Zwahiri (sp?).

Second, i think we want to have a look-see into some of those caves, and see what they've got stashed there. Do they have WMDs? What kind?

It would give us a better idea of what we might be dealing with here on the home front.

Couldn't agree more.

But this conflict will be a more covert operation then American's are use to and it will be a protracted conflict, that will take many years, perhaps even many decades, before terrorism is brought under control. World wide terrorism is here to stay, but that doesn't mean that western civilization should roll over and watch our citizens being murdered by scumbags who have no respect, or regard for human life. Not even their own!

We have started this crusade first against Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Eventually we will have to take out Saddam Hussein, destroy everything associated with him, once and for all. There's no two ways about it.

Go after them and eliminate them, until the job is finished!

It's going to be a long war, but we'll get good at fighting it. The only wars we ever "lost" are those we chose to walk away from (Vietnam, Korea), or those we chose not to fight (not taking out Sadam). When we decide there is no choice, then we win. I'm pretty sure that the American people are behind this one. There will be no walking away from this one. We will win this one.

In my opinion, we need to articulate clearly that we do not have a quarrel with the Muslim world.

But the part of the Muslim world that considers itself at war with us must be on notice.

Who are these people?
They are the ones conducting terrorist activities and those training and providing logistical support to them.
All those people, in my opinion, should be fair game.
Over time, we should see the people who are conducting this international campaign of terrorism being cut away from their support base.
Many good people were cut away from the support base of the South Vietnamese government.
I think there’s a direct parallel.

Tonight when I do the new thread for tomorrow I will have to post about Hugh and that he did that. Maybe some of the troops reading the thread will know Hugh too.

And thank you so much for the info. about the thread here about what I posted. heh heh...That is why I do not do information threads here , there are others so much better at being on the cutting edge. Me, I am just a cheerleader for our veterans and military and a lover of FR and I am so hungry to learn things.

Well, for one thing we don't have any napalm left in the arsenal. It's all been destroyed. FAE's, fuel air explosives are still available, but they are a different weapon. I would think that there are quite a few caves in Afghanistan where these SOB's could be hiding. It will take time and people on the ground to find him. Just be patient, they'll get him and his cronies.
