...that you have fallen into the same way of think as my country did at the height of empire when we stated that God was an English man... You mean He isn't?
But seriously, you're right about a few things. God is not an American. He's a Scot. LOL, just kidding.
But seriously (and I'm serious this time), I don't believe God punished the U.S. with 9/11. I DO, believe, however, that God uses things that have happened as an opportunity to bring us closer to Him. As C.S. Lewis said, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
On the other hand, though, while I don't believe Americans are God's "chosen people" per se (that we are anointed in any special way), we are, in fact, the most powerful nation on the earth, which means we have an opportunity to do great good. Or great evil. But when it comes down to it, God will still judge individual souls, and you don't get bonus points for being a citizen of any particular country.

I totally agree. I just read a prophetic warning from Rick Joyner who says essentially that unless Bush begins to support Israel and not a Palestinian State, it may just lose him the election because God's not going to back it. Bush needs to listen to God, not Powelll, not Rice, but GOD Himself. I, too, am extremely concerned over this.

Yes, it is. He's written two prophetic books about America, The Vision and Racing Towards Judgement. God is speaking through people like Wilkerson and we'd better start listening.

He has passed this information to those whose ears are open to listen. He sends out letters to those on his list and we've all heard it. He is a true prophet of God and we need to heed his words.

Nobody is saying God killed them. But He did allow this to happen. If He hadn't wanted it to happen, he would have prevented it. We need a wake up call in this country. This is only the beginning of sorrows.

Cool picture. My personal favorite is named quite simply, "Grace". You may have seen it.

Rick Joyner's not even in the same class as David Wilkerson; Wilkerson being a true watchman, Joyner being a false prophet.

You don't win, OWK. Never will with that attitude.

Thanks, Truthandlife, for posting this. I am a great admirer of David Wilkerson's and receive his letters from time to time. He's right on. People who are coming against this message have blinders on their eyes. They can't see because they're blind to the things of God. I'm sad for them.

I received a rather impressive letter from a Mr. McMahon just yesterday, informing me that I may have already won.

Did he say that every tragedy that befalls us is from God? I don't think so. He was specifically talking about 911 here.

That's pretty apparent, given your using the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as a curse word. Shame on you.

Good answer 537. Most of this falls on deaf ears but one day their ears and eyes will be opened. Hope it's not too late for them.

You don't seem to have a clue as to what God is saying or doing. All you can do is mock and be facetious about what you don't understand or see happening. God is moving in all our lives and various worldly situations. Just because you don't see it or understand it doesn't mean it's not happening. Those with eyes can see, spiritual eyes, that is.

I regularly download David Wilkerson's sermons and burn them to CD. I have heard this sermon several times. It is part one of a four part post-9/11 series. All of them are superb.
People mock this man at their peril. He speaks the Word of God.

God's judgement is on America because He has given us so much and we have cast it aside for the gods of materialism, greed, etc. I believe His judgement is on many nations. Look at Africa, for instance. It's all over the world where people turn their back on Him and refuse to listen. It's not just America.
