Had a co-worker show me this today. Seems fitting with all the nuclear terror talk this week...

Holy Cow! I just took a look at just a 1MT ground blast in Downtown Dallas. I would be just inside the 12psi circle here at work.

I guess the only good thing that I could pull out of that, is that no matter what size nuke hit downtown, I would never know what hit me.

Looking at the Fallout estimates, how can that be related to a "dirty Nuke"?

What is the estimated amount of REMs produced?

What I want to see is a mapper that would show a 25 megaton Nuke with an additional payload of 80,000 gallons of egg salad...and then show me where the furthest yoke would land.

A bit disappointing - No choices for Afghanistan, Syria, or Saudi Arabia.

I tried the 25MT airburst over San Diego. My house is a good ways away from downtown (about 8 miles), and I'm still in the "everything gets flattened" ring (5-12 psi). Happy thought: I'm next to a canyon, my house might be in a blast shadow.

I guess that Registered's bombing run needed a little second-wave, clean-up action.

Very Cool - especially because my house is 30+ miles outside of town. FReepers - I will fondly remember each and every one of you.

Better idea - let's get this *&^$# trash before they get us.

Zounds!
Very depressing. I am toast here in Boston's North End... Not even a contest.

Anyone know the possible tonnage of a "backpack" nuke?

All of a sudden it's discomforting to be working so close to 1 Microsoft Way, Redmond WA 98052.

Well look at Raleigh and then the fallout range for a 1 meg . Looks like Hatteras or Buxton would be about the only safe place

Maybe if more people see this, then property values in the West Valley of Phoenix will reflect their survival potential rather than the 'snob' value of the East Valley!-)

Not that Grand Rapids would be a prime target, but I'd be only a memory.
