The last I heard the terrorists were instructed to kill all of us Americans, how does a bridge fulfill that order from Binnie the thug?

If it's the Coronado Bay Bridge, that bridge is designed to be recoverable from bombing real quickly as otherwise it would affect fleet deployment. It could provide a few hundred military people as targets, however, returning home from work. More likely, I would think, in the San Diego possibility, is the 805 & 8 Interstate overpass - that would kill a lot of people during rush hour and really screw up commuting, business, shipping, etc.. If it was a dirty bomb that could screw up the entire area there for quite some time including the nearby stadium, malls and residential areas.

Depending on which bridges you blew up, you could cause major transportation disruptions throughout that local area. If, for example, the Golden Gate became impassable, how would people get across the bay? They'd have to take some pretty lengthy detours, and those detours would just be doubling or tripling traffic on other already-overloaded lanes.

They've had threats on the bridges into Mexico too, I think it would all be about disrupting transport of goods and travel.

If I was Osama, infrastructure targets that kill a few people at the same time is what i would do. I really have not understood why they did not strike in the days weeks after WTC. Had they done the suicide bomber thing at a mall in middle America one day and a bridge on the west cost the next and a high school football game down south the next, I believe they could have brought America to her knees economically and mentally.

Bridges, smidges. You'd need a very large explosive, placed in just the right areas to take down the Golden Gate. A truck bomb ain't going to do it.

Don't be a fooled. Davis made this crap up, so he could get in on some facetime and put his sagging poll numbers up.

Think of all the Road Rage Killings that would occurr when Commuters are forced to take alternate routes to, and from work!!!!

They want to destroy our way of life and also they aren't really the most sophisticated types, they don't have a strong military or any kind of inventions of their own to do the job, they are backward and primitive, they have to destroy the US any way they can think of and right now it's harder to hijack planes to destroy skyscrapers and kill thousands so they're stuck with smaller projects.

On another thread "taliban complaining that U.S. bombing has weakened dams".

If one believes in hidden messages, then one would double the guards on our dams!
