Regardless of what you think about Britney, this is about the most confounded piece of logic I have seen. She is under no obligation to conform herself to anyone's stereotype of how she must behave.

Thanks, Matty, for telling me about Britney. I need smart folks like you to tell me how to live. I'm sure Britney needs you to tell her how to make a living. Did you ever hear of Madonna? She is celebrated for making S&M videos, books, movies after she initially came on to the scene "Like A Virgin". Bet you didn't mind it then, huh? Get a life. How about this: you don't buy her album and the rest of us will decide for ourselves. Our daughters/sisters will be taught that Hollywood is not real. Our daughters/sisters will look up to their parents and not to some thong-laden singer.

BUT, Britney is very hot. Her new video rocks. Good for her and her multitude of handlers. NUTS to Rosie.

My 11 year old step-daughter doesn't like Britney anymore because Britney stole her "man" (Justin of N'Sync).

My step-daughter also likes N'Sync, but not the Backstreet Boys. I guess you have to be 11 to even be able to tell the difference.

Yeah, my guess is you're preaching to the choir here. You may influence parents into not letting their kids buying the album, but if they were anything like I was when I was a kid, they'd just get it from somewhere else....maybe even on their own computer at home.

Dittos to that. Her voice sounds like Minnie Mouse with laryngitis. Not that it's about music. The music is secondary. I know someone who saw her in concert a while back and said it was obvious she was lip-synching to a recorded track and that she didn't even do it well, that Milli Vanilli did it better. But nobody cared because it was all about her shaking her rear and showing her navel, with 10,000 little teenage clones all around. Basically, she's selling sex, and she better make enough to retire on because 10 years down the road, nobody will remember her. BTW, if anyone read the Rolling Stone profile of her a few weeks ago you'll get an idea of where she's coming from, which is basically that she's turned into a pure slut. I'd respect her a lot more if she'd drop the Southern Baptist/virgin act and just admit it. Paparazzi have photographed her puffing Marlboros and knocking back adult beverages. Ain't nothing inherently wrong with that, I think she's of age now. Just be up front about it, don't try to pretend you're something else.
