Are the B-52 strikes the strikes against a large convoy coming out of Kabul that I heard was attacked this afternoon(our time)

Hoo-eee ! That-uns gotta smart !
To: Diogenesis
The place looked like a mess before the strike. Our bombs actually cleaned it up a bit.

Are those pictures of the orphanage?..................................Don't be absurd. It is the milk factory.

Looks like a pretty obvious target to me. Looks like a decoy to me that stubby wingspan with that fuselage doesn't look right, any experts at photo intel or aircraft can identify that?
To: Diogenesis
While watching the videos I wondered: Do our 500 pounders make any noise as they're falling? - You know, like when you see some of those old war movies and the bombs are screaming as they're coming down...

More great shots. The explosions took the tail off that airplane that was parked outside the hangers.

While watching the videos I wondered: Do our 500 pounders make any noise as they're falling? - You know, like when you see some of those old war movies and the bombs are screaming as they're coming down...FWIW, WWII war correspondent Ernie Pyle once got a little too close to a heavy bombardment of German positions by Allied heavy bombers, during the breakout from Normandy. (He survived. The Germans didn't.) He said the bombs made a rattling sound as they fell. He attributed this to the movement of the fins. I dunno if today's bombs have similar fins.

Not that it is relevant. Given the airplane is probably an Afghan Junk anywho.
Angle #2, given the thinness of the tail and the black paint on the rear most section, makes it appear like it is missing. Further, there is no hole in the ground, no debris and it hasn't moved an inch from angle #1

In the "before" photo, the
tail of the aircraft was already missing -- look at the shadow. And the right wingtip was already on the ground...

As I look closer, I appear to have been fooled by the shadow the airplane is casting in the first photo -- making it look like it has a tail. I better not go into photo-recon.

Re #17: I know that holes can be fixed, but I don't see a dent in those runways. Maybe they're taxiways, but I'd have expected a few craters.
Of course if there aren't any planes to fly....

HEY, WAS THAT A MISSILE BEING FIRED BACK?
In the second movie, "Taliban troops in a trench line", what is that small white dot in the lower right portion of the screen that seems to rise toward the plane. It then fades back and left.

so is that the soccer field on the right where they kill the women? why in the f**k don't they carpet bomb the damned place? 'daisy cutters' for all!!!
hell, the CB's could fix any damage to the landing strip.

I have seen stingers fired at our planes twice on TV and they don't seem to change course. I think those old stingers can no longer 'aim'.

I still think the plane might be upside down.
