Of course not, though I did hear her inane comment about the Bush tax cut. But this kind of crap is what the press is full of: Emotional posturing by semi-famous people that we have no reason to listen to. I won't read such garbage, but I am not going to start foaming at the mouth just because people solicit Chelsea's opinions.
Her next office? I must have missed when she won her first office. It is entirely possible that everything you say is true. But you have no evidence. Your entire argument is pure conjecture based on your opinions of her parents. As far as what I "want" to believe about her, I don't particularly care about her and I know virtually nothing about her- and neither do you. So I am not going to rant and rave about some person that I have no basis to form an opinion of.
I understand the sentiments of the people posting here about this article being a poor little rich girl sob story, and I largely agree. But our media has decided to coronate first families into pseudo-royalty and invest a ridicilous amount of significance in the often pointless things that they say. Chelsea may be a symptom of it, but she is not the cause. If people were not interested, and the fact that more than 100 posts have been made in response to this article demonstrates interest, no one would ask a twenty-something who has never done anything what she had to say about foreign affairs, terrorism or just about any other important topic.
If she were to run for office, based on her fanciful notions about the destructiveness of tax cuts I wouldn't vote for her and then I would criticize her. But since she is just a college kid with dumb opinions who some people want to hear due to her celebrity status, I will hold my judgment until then. I am not going to invent all sorts of realities based on the manifest loathesomeness of her parents, Bubba and Evita.
My guess is, though, that Chelsea is hanging out with hard-core leftist anti-American anti-Western types. I doubt there's too much gentle ribbing there.
Wrong! She's a patriot.
Chelsea takes offence at Oxford classmates
How could Chelsea be back in New York City on a Tuesday (midday of the week) during the semester, if she is a legitimate student taking legitimate classes?
