When you want an election "arranged"...you call in a professional like Daley. If it were not for divine intervention...he would have easily pulled it off.

Drudge headline coming: Gore edges Bush in all scenarios.

The next few days will be interesting.

And most of them can be found slithering and scurrying around the sewers of the DU. Those people really believe their boy won, and they are willing to discount 224 years of American history and election practices to get the result they want. When I was growing up, whining, obnoxious children were spanked soundly and removed from polite company. Can anybody justify treating these fools like anything other than the spoiled brats they appear to be?

"If it were not for divine intervention..."

I really agree with you on this!

Two holes punched is a classic case of voting fraud conducted at the precinct level.

Or a classic case of terminal stupidity.

All this means is that if they count and divine every possible or imagined vote, they can make it go their way. Haven't we always known that? There is a reason these "votes" are not considered legitimate under our election laws. It is so blatantly obvious to eveybody but the most ignorant and gullible that Al Gore would have used any means at his disposal to win. And why haven't recounts been demanded in other borderline states where abuses by democrats were discovered. And what DID ever happen to those discounted military absentee ballots? Sounds like a bad soap opera to me and not worth paying any attention to, but sadly I think they will try to use it to undermine the war effort by causing furthur division within the coumtry. Why do we allow these disgusting people so much of the limelight for their granstanding anyway?

They're saying Bush won under all the partial counts, but Gore had it on the "complete recount."

I was afraid of this. You will not see any Supreme Court nominee confirmed, and you can bet this will be used to stop Al Sharpton from trying anything.

You really thought they would confirm a Supreme Court Justice BEFORE this? I don't think so; Daschle as much as said that he wouldn't do it unless it was a candidate acceptable to his group (leftists swine).

Sharpton is no threat to anyone except a democrat. And by the way, we now know that we can win with practically NO black votes, so there isn't much leverage for that group with us anyway.

I expect we are going to have an annoying couple of days, but this wasn't unexpected.

I would like to find out that the anthrax letters were sent by a democrat, trying to cast aspersions on the far right. That would make my day.

I am prepared, however, to call any and all advertisers on network television who devote more than 30 seconds to this story. With the economy being as bad as it is, advertisers are VERY sensitive to bad press. And the press is VERY bad, in this case.

Agreed. Plus, we still have the military absentee ballots and the panhandle disaster. We can fight back with about 9,000 or so disenfranchised Bush voters.

Besides, if I'm Bush, I have my Supreme Court nominees ready when Stevens and Ginsburg retire: Ted Olson and Emilio Garza. Daschle will not be able to get much resistance.

The moderate Dems (Breaux, Zell Miller, and others) will go along with both of these guys. Decent liberals like Feingold and Lieberman will go along. In the former case, they will not be able to even try to give him the third degree.

This leaves the far-left crowd, which might be the largest, and it might control the committee, but Feingold will vote to at LEAST send Olson and Garza to the floor.

During the recount, a caller to G. Gordon Liddy said she gave a sample butterfly ballot to her 82 yr old father. He wanted to vote for Bush and she told him he voted for Buchanan. Why? He followed the line under Bush's separation block and it led to Buchanan's dot. So, not all the Buchanan votes would have been for Gore.
