VANITY: How the Latest FL Recount Results Could Bite Dems in the Butt
Me

Posted on 11/11/2001 5:58:22 PM PST by hispanarepublicana

The news hasn't even been officially released, and already the results of the latest Floriduh recount have bitten the Democrats in the butt. How?

Algore ALREADY has had to ONCE AGAIN re-affirm that "George Bush is Mah President!" (paraphrasing here and using his quote from shortly after 9-11). See The Drudge Report for his exact words tonight. Since he has set the tone, all of the "public" democrats in leadership positions will have to follow step, since you KNOW the media will be asking. They will ALL have no choice but to do the same. I'm not accounting for the likes of Paul Begala, et al, but when it comes to Joe Lieberman, Tom Daschle, and Diane Feinstein, guess what 10-second sound clip they're all going to have to provide?

Good point, although it was gonna bite them upside the rear anyways. With 90% approval ratings I doubt whether the public really gives a damn. Infact I think it will just cause alot more people to become skeptical of the so-called media. There are alot of positives potentially risinfg from this joke, and truly thats all it is.

May I assume from your screen name that you are a Nebraskan who is a "Texan by Choice?" Or, do you really "husk corn?"

The news release will go over about like Jeffry Toobin's book about the election---a lead baloon/dust collector.

I just think its funny that all this time and energy was wasted on this latest recount. We all remember the scene last year, chads littered the floor, volunteers were actually observed eating them! It's a joke. Those ballots are badly compromised. The more they are counted, the more chads fall out. The most accurate count occurred on November 8, 2000 and Bush won. Plain and simple.

But let them count and count again. Nobody cares anymore.

Bringing out the Dem.-revisionist history on Veterans' Day was a truly bad PR move, a la Hillary at the tribute to the NYC heroes. The press should be taken to the woodshed over this one, IMHO.

We have had the pleasure of working with Rep. (and former Coach) Tom Osborne. A true gentleman and statesman. Also a hard worker on The Hill. He goes to as many of his committee hearings as possible (not just the ones that affect his constituents). He also arrives early and stays for the entire hearing, paying close attention and taking copious notes. (An unusual thing in the more minor or obscure hearings).

He has always been known as a straight arrow, fully loyal and dedicated. He is the essence of class. What do you do in oder to have worked with him? The reason i am asking is my passion is politics and have been searching for ways to get involved, not only on a voluntary level but on a permanent level.

I think the savvy Demoncrat (Hillary is NOT one of these) will publicly marginalize this revelation to save for future use while floating the idea that the media is in need of sensationalism during this slow paced war on terrorism.

This gives them the outward appearance of supporting President Bush and the war on terrorism which is supported by the public with the plausible deniability in the future when it is brought up during an election period.

I will post my only "lurker" post on this subject. I voted in the last election from Florida. Bush won the count, the recount and the third "recount". It was truly amazing to watch the vile democrats in action trying to steal the election.I will sit here snickering while the news comes out from the left, trying to prove a negative.Even my best friend, a democrat, came around several months before 911 and admitted it may have been a stupid pets trick stunt. Kharma rules.Let us all watch them squirm from the repercussions.

Add Terry McAwful, er, McAuliffe, to the list of those re-affirming Bush as their President! (CNN)

Actually, NOTHING would have been better for the Republican party than if EVERY possible recount scheme showed Gore easily winning; I'm actually a little disappointed they didn't.

The SINGLE dumbest thing the Democrats could possibly run on in 2004 against Bush is "he shouldn't have won in 2000"...the more recounts appeared to show that Bush should have lost, the more inclined idiot Democrats would be to try to use that in the campaign, not realizing that the ONLY people for which the "he should have lost 4 years ago" campaign message would be effective would be rabid Democrats who weren't going to vote for Bush in 2004 anyway.

I would love for the democrats to keep on bringing this up. That way we can revisit OVER and OVER again how Algore threw out legal military votes. Things have changed since 911 so much that the throwing out military votes makes it more apparent that the right guy is in the WH.

To my Freeper pals, I agree with you 100%. When all of these countless "re-counts" were occurring a year ago, a long time friend, political science major in college and now a retired US Army Colonal explained it this way.

Davis, there are only three ways to describe what we're seeing. SNAFU, (someone screwed up), FUBAR, (Fu[ked Up Beyond All Recognition), and MM (Mental Masturbation).

In light of what we're seeing today, his assessment was right on target. Let the Rats keep knawing on wood so that their fangs don't grow though their skulls.
