MUSLIM CLERIC INSISTS 20 'SUITCASE NUKES' IN U.S.

A leading Muslim cleric Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, founder of the Islamic Supreme Council of America (ISCA), insists bin Ladens network has bought more than 20 nuclear warheads carried in suitcases.

In 1999 Kabbani first warned the U.S. State Department of bin Laden's impending terrorism.

He told the U.S. Government bin Laden was training suicide bombers in Afghanistan ready to move to any part of the world.

Kabbani said the nuclear weapons, sometimes referred to as "suitcase bombs", were sold by the Russian mafia.

"If he did, why would he be trying to build nuclear weapons? Why go to all that trouble if you have ready-made ones?"

Bubba bin redneck bought 20 derringers at the gunshow. Why would bubba want to get a shotgun or a rifle, when he already has 20 derringers? Aren't they powerful enough, and doesn't he have enough firepower already?

same question

bin Ladens network has bought more than 20 nuclear warheads carried in suitcases.

And that is why they had to hijack planes to crash into the WTC, right?

Yawn.

I agree, his best shot was on Sept 11. It has been all downhill for bin laden since then! If he had nukes he would have used them by now. He doesn't care about spreading his perverted version of Islam, he only cares about killing, harming, maming people! He is pure evil!

Let's compromise. Just one mini-nuke in Hollywood.

Ok, the title says there are 2 0'suitcase' nukes' in the US, but the body of the post says bin Laden has purchased 20, not that they're in the US. There's a difference. I don't beleive he has any of this stuff. If he did, why would he be trying to build nuclear weapons? Why go to all that trouble if you have ready-made ones?

Putin said the suitcase bombs are the stuff of legend, but then what would you expect him to say.

If the Russian mafia managed to steal such devices, it seems highly unlikely that they would be able to obtain their detonation codes. Certainly, the Russkies had fairly sophisticated safeguards on a device that could readily set off a thermonuclear World War III. If al-Queda actually acquired such devices, I'm fairly confident that the enriched U235 or plutonium would be their primary value. The fissionable material probably could be safely removed and then used to construct an atomic or radiological bomb.

This, of course, is the optimistic version of the worst case. They may be able to detonate the original bombs. Remember a couple of years ago when a CIA laptop computer with Soviet detonation codes turned up missing? Was it ever recovered, and even if it had been recovered, who's to say its contents had not been copied?

Of course, this is just idle speculation ... I only know what I read in the papers, and I don't lose a lot of sleep over this.

Shame on our immigration standards

I agree with you about that! But the believe that BL has 20 nukes and hasn't used them is silly....what's he waiting for?

This uranium emits alpha particles which are big heavy and only dangerous at close range. The reason it can be carried in a suitcase is that it's particles can be stopped by a piece of paper or a suitcase. Else all the couriers would've been killed. The danger is that they can be set loose as a dust which inhaled is pretty lethal. A stick of dynamite or it's modern equivalent could do that easily.

I wonder how hard it is to make a fake "suitcase" bomb, and what you sell a fake one for on the black market? I mean, the guy you sell it to isn't going to test it to see if it works, right?

What we need is a pepto bismol and a nap.I think they have all come out of the woodwork here...and with the anniversary of the shooting of JFK coming up this month.More conspiracy theories. We better hope to God they don't have one suitcase nuke let alone 20.

This guy has been saying things like this since well before 9-11. The suitcase nuke business has been in the public arena for at least 3 years or so. A good summary of the suitcase nuke question, which appears balanced and lacking in hysteria, is at the FAS site

"Are you positive we would get off a shot? Remember this isn't Al Qaida. It's North Korea, China, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Russia (most probably if the chips were down), Pakistan against lil ole USA. Thatsalottanukes."

Ours are all designed to run by computer, and you know how "safe" that is!

Also, remember, Clinton the traitor knows were all our missiles are located. He knows everything the other countries need to know.Would Bill ever sell us out? Well....for enough world power, yes!

--if I was a russian scientist or military guy who had nukes to sell, the US intel community would be the last place I'd sell them. The russian guys know full well how many agents they put in over here, over the decades, and the probability of them still being active-they couldn't take the chance of getting found out by their own side. they'd use a middleman cutout broker, and let them go for a reduced cut, no way would they sell them to an end user, they'd sell them to an arms merchant, who would then re-sell them.

As to not using them yet, the wahabis who control the terrorists are still milking the US for hundreds of billions of dollars, they have no wish to kill the goose that laid the golden egg, nor do they wish to use them on israel. Nope, they are waiting for china to get strong enough so they can switch public allegiances, then they might use them.

Finding loose nukes with radiation counters, etc. I'm not sure, but I don't think they repealed the use of lead sheets yet. Only one in 200 containers is opened and inspected coming into the US, and a WHOLE lot of them are carefully not opened due to large sums of money changine hands.

I wouldn't worry as much about the used russky nukes, as worry about the brand new chinese ones that are probably here and will keep coming in, now those babies will work, and have a big bang.

Fair warning advice to anyone, any major urban area="target zone", do ya feel lucky?

Because the U.S. is currently in real danger from actual (conventional) terrorist attacks, the time for wild-eyed, keep-the-adrenalyn-pumping conspiracy theories has passed.

And his point is?

Obvious. He wants to get Americans scared and extract political concessions. Typical pro-terrorist mind set.

"It's the 'Keep On Truckin'' guy!"

You're thinking of Mr. Natural. I don't think R. Crumb ever had him doing the Truckin' Step, but I may be mistaken on that. I haven't read his "work" for a bit over 30 years...

Everything you say is true. Even if they didn't succeed in getting nukes in, the mere fact they want to and are thinking about it is serious. Americans need to understand a lot more than they do about Islam and what Muslims mean when they say they are peace loving. They are in their own way, but they believe peace will happen when the whole world becomes Islamic and everyone is living under Sharia. That's the peace they want and are working for, heretics and critics will be put to death, just as they'd put Salmon Rushdie to death. The Nazis too wanted a kind of peace but they believed much the same, they had to get rid of certain types before they could have it.
