If you haven't already done so, please add your signature to the petition for the unborn (and ask others to do likewise). These little ones need our voice to speak out for them. God Bless you!

Bump! The cold hard truth of abortion.

There are good choices and bad choices in life. When in doubt, choose life.

"The fetus is not a human, just a mass of tissue."

Damn, if I didn't know any better, I would swear that "mass of tissue" looks like a little arm.

I JUST HAD TO ADD A LITTLE RESPONSE.

1)The fetus is not a human, just a mass of tissue

Answer Wrong, it won't turn out to be a cow!

2)Abortion is safer than childbirth.

Answer. Wrong, it not only murders an innocent child,It destroys the psyche of the "Mother"

3)Every child should be a wanted child.

Answer, Don't use Sex as a plaything of personal gratification.

4)The number of abortions is relatively small.

Answer, Wrong, More innocent children have been Killed in America than by Adolph hitler in the Holacaust! America Murdered over 36,000,000 children, Hitler 6,000,000 Jews.

5)Nobody has the right to impose their morals on me.

Answer, Wrong ,America lives by rules of law which are imposed on all, without which you probably would have been killed already!

6)A woman should be able to control her own body.

Answer Right, If She did she wouldn't have unwanted pregnancies.

7)Abortion must be kept legal, especially for all the rape and incest pregnancies.

Answer. Fine,Just so long as we protect the life of the innocent child under the same laws. A country is measured on how it treats it's most vulnerable Humans!

8)If abortion is outlawed women will be forced to go to back-alley abortion clinics.

Answer Nonsense, they would have to take responsibility for their actions, and avoid unprotected and promiscuous sex.

9)Aborting unwanted children reduces the number of abused children.

Answer, WRONG YOU DON'T CONSIDER THE MURDER OF AN INNOCENT CHILD ABUSE!!!!!! YOU ARE MAD..

10)We need to remember that we are overpopulating the planet. Answer.

See answer to #8

11) Planned Parenthood is a group that focuses on contraception.

Answer.WRONG, PLANNED PARENTHOOD FOCUSES ON MURDER AND DESTROYING PARENTHOOD!!!

The answer to winning the abortion debate does not center around "when life starts" but rather around the issue of "freedom" and where the right to be "free" originates. If freedom is controlled by man, there is in fact no such thing as freedom. If freedom is an "inalienable" right from God, as claimed by our very own Declaration of Independence, then no man can deny it from us. Life itself is the purest form of freedom. If man is in control of "when life begins or ends", then there can be no such thing as freedom. For freedom to exist, life and death must be out of the reach of mankind to decide.
This means that the issue surrounding "when life begins" is not within the scope of man himself to decide. Not if we wish to believe in freedom itself.

>> The slavery analogy . . .
In 1857 the U.S. Supreme Court decided the Dred Scott Decision. By a 7-2 vote it ruled that black people were not "legal persons," that they were the property of the slave owner, who was granted the basic constitutional right to own a slave. Abolitionists protested, to be met with this answer: "We understand you oppose slavery and find it morally offensive. That is your privilege. You don’t have to own a slave if you don’t want to. But, don’t impose your morality on the slave owner. He has the constitutionally protected right to choose to own a slave."

Today the conflict is abortion, and the very same argument is used. In 1973 the U.S. Supreme Court, by a 7-2 decision, ruled that unborn humans were not "legal persons," that they were the property of the owner (the mother) who was given the basic constitutional right to choose to kill her unborn offspring. Pro-lifers have protested, to be met with the same answer . . . "We understand that you oppose abortion and find it morally offensive. That is your privilege. You don’t have to have an abortion if you don’t want to. But don’t impose your morality on the owner, the mother, for she has the constitutional right to choose to kill, if she wishes.

In the famous Lincoln-Douglas debates, Mr. Douglas defended the right to choose. Abraham Lincoln’s answer comes down to us ringingly clear. His reply was "No one has the right to choose to do what is wrong."
In today’s debate the same basic ethic should be our 210 guide. "No one has the right to choose to do what is wrong."
Abraham Lincoln ANOTHER ANSWER:
Is her "choice" the overriding concern? This is effectively answered by considering a different issue, one that also raises a significant moral question.
<<

It amazes me that SOME people on "our" side still fail to see the comparison between the abortion issues of today and the slavery issues of the 19th century. There are some 19th century 'RAT apologists who won't even admit the DemocRATS are using the SAME argument to defend abortion that they used to defend slavery 140 years ago. They haven't changed! The scumbag Democrats of 1860 hid behind an "state's right to choose" that was supposely in the 10th amendment under an imaginary secession clause, the scumbag Democrats today hide behind "a woman's right to choose" that was supposely in the 1st amendment under an imaginary "right to privacy" clause.

INDIVIDUAL rights are are MORE important than STATES rights. States do not have ABSOLUTE power to do WHATEVER they want. States have an obligation to get back the powers the federal government messed up on, they do NOT an obligation to impose unchecked, unlimited power over their citizens. Those of you on this forum who REFUSE to accept this fact would probably be better off joining the Reform Party or the Libertarian Party.

As for the rest us, let's hope people will WAKE UP to Alan Keyes' and Ronald Reagan's message. You cannot negotiate with a MORAL wrong.

A woman should be able to control her own body."

Her body ENDS where her DNA ends. It has already been established in court of law that DNA can and has been used as a form of identification. The fetus, whatever anyone else wishes to believe, has it's own DNA. Since DNA has been legally used by the LAW to identify people, this means that the fetus is a "PERSON", and entitled to all of the rights and priveledges of personhood, including protection by our Bill of Rights.

Bork on Life

Perhaps the most eloquent words on the topic. Those not persuaded by Judge Bork's words have neither mind nor soul.

"Abortion is safer than childbirth."
Safer for who? Certainly NOT the child. By the way, what does a "childbirth" have to do with abortion if the aborted fetus is just a tissue mass? If it is a "child", I would understand the comparison.

"Every child should be a wanted child."
There you go again referring to the fetus as though it is a "child", and then claiming the right to murder it. Is it a child or just tissue mass? Also, does this mean that if someone is ever "unwanted" that they can be murdered?

"The number of abortions is relatively small."
Is this supposed to be a justification for abortion itself? What difference does the number of abortions make if abortion is so wonderfull? Heck, if abortion was as great a thing as the pro-choice folks think, it seems we'd all want more of them.

"Nobody has the right to impose their morals on me."
Your morals END at your DNA line, just like mine. Remember, freedom to do whatever YOU want is not freedom at all. Freedom revolves around a respect for life which includes the notion that mankind is not able to decide or control anything about when life begins or ends.
