AOL executive missing

DC police are searching for a America Onilne executive who has not been heard from in more than two weeks--something that's totally out of character for him, according to the people who know him. Douglas Small is director of marketing for AOL-Time Warner in Dulles, Va. On November 6th, the 38-year-old was talking with a friend by cell phone from his Northwest DC row house on 1st Street. He mentioned the contractor working on the home had just arrived, at 7:31 a.m. That's the last anyone has heard from Small. Friends became worried when he missed a meeting in Dulles later that morning. Colleagues say he is extremely punctual and reliable, and as far as they know, is not sick or depressed. Police say they have no leads. AOL reportedly is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to Small's return.

I hope he didn't decide to go and meet a "new friend" he met in an AOL Chatroom.....there's some scary people in some of those rooms (on family friendly AOL!) < / sarcasm >

I think you may have something there. Perhaps kidnappings is on the agenda of the terrorist cells. I wouldn't have expected an AOL exec, however. A biochemist who specializes in crystallizing viral DNA makes more sense to me.
A $25,000 reward seems kinda small...
I have a friend who knows this guy. I will ask him when I see him online next.

I'm sorry, but how in the heck do you have a failed AOL DSL install? It truly is the nearest thing to Plug-n-play I've ever seen. I wound up with the Actiontec USB DSL modem. How about you? And have you checked to see that DSL is, in fact, enabled on your line?

Hmmm...no mention of a mother, father, wife, kids or girlfriend. Just a "friend" he spoke with at 7:30AM and "friends" who became concerned.

I took the AOL training wheels off many years ago, and likely you will do the same some day.

So what's Condit's alibi this time? He's with Dick Cheney.

Clearly part of an Al Qaeda plot to distribute Anthrax in free AOL sign-up CD mailers....

He sleeps with Chandra.
Hard pressed to believe your average DC street-urinating criminal would hide the body. They have better things to do. (Crack- capitalist, you know. Time is money in every circle.)
DC is pretty creepy to say the least.

He is probably somewhere with Condit's shaved Haitian motorcycle gang.

Clearly part of an Al Qaeda plot to distribute Anthrax in free AOL sign-up CD mailers....That would certainly be an effective mass distribution method.

Naw, he won't take off the training wheels, and he makes me use 'em too.
AOL gave him a job when he was fresh out of the Air Force and convinced that he'd do what many retirees do (collapse and die.) He quit three years ago, and it took them a year to take away his free account. We're sort of coasting on inertia. I'm ready to try DSL that WORKS, myself.

Look for a tall man carrying boxes and boxes of CDs imprinted with "700 Hours FREE!"

Could this be related to the missing microbiologist.
Do you think he could be the man they think hand delivered the anthrax in CT?
