The suspect charged with abducting and killing 5-year-old Alexandra Flores entered into a plea bargain in 1994 that let him avoid prison in a case involving indecency with a child, court records show.

David Renteria, 32, was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication, a form of probation, after pleading guilty to one count of indecency with a child in January 1994, according to the records from 243rd District Court.
