I understand "Cheese" (reference to whining, correct?) but, what about "Moose, we control all your bases" (Or, whatever the correct term is) and the reference to Ted Nugent (I know he's a Conservative)? What are the basic and literal definitions of these?

Cheese came from whining. I don't know what the hell the moose came from, and I've been here for 3 years. As for Nugent, remember the "I'm a Bad American" posts? That has been posted a gazillion times, and Nugent was credited with writing that, even though he didn't. Denis Leary, George Carlin, and countless others also claimed to write it.

Johnny, the video came from a country where English is not the first language. They dubbed the words in, and it was so bad that people all over the internet were laughing about it. We can assume that the original intent of the phrase was something like, "We have captured all your bases."

But the sentence lends itself to any situation where you care to fit it. So we all had fun with it.
